7-1 in Week 5 quite fortunate that I got a number under 6 on Robt Morris and fortunate that they won the game in OT. Could have gone either way,

In this scenario I like the twenty points, with this caveat. Last year Towson beat UNH 64-35 in the season finale, but did not get an invitation to the playoffs with their 7-4 record. UNH did get in, with their 8-3. This could give Towson some extra motivation. On the other hand, I like to fade unbeaten teams at this point in the season. Very few wind up unbeaten.

Lehigh +10 1/2 @ Fordham

Here are two unbeatens and once again I like the generous points. Lehigh continues to play close games, week after week. And if Fordham is not going unbeaten, this is the game they will lose; they should run the table against the rest of the teams on their schedule.

Furman -11 v Elon

The Southern conference has had its share of surprises this year, but Elon has consistently shown little or nothing. After two unexpected losses to two underrated OOC opponents, the purple paladins are on track to win their third in a row. Against Coastal Carolina, their one common opponent, Furman lost by 7 and won the total yardage battle by 56. Elon lost by 25 and were outgained by 319 yards.

Georgia Southern -3 @ Samford

Last week Georgia Southern threw 2 passes, completed neither, and rolled up 600 yards on the ground. I’ll take the defending Southern Conf champs here at a cheap price. They went deep into the playoffs last two years, losing both times to N D State- the two time FCS titleholders.

Norfolk St -12 v Savannah St- I seldom venture into the MEAC, but Schrute called my attention to this game in his thread. I took a look and agreed. Both rating services I use had this game in the mid twenties.

 Penn -1 ½ v Dartmouth --Hard to get a handle on these two after just two weeks. A consensus pick for defending their Ivy League title, Penn was has split their first two games – a win over Lafayette – ho hum – and a loss to Villanova, a fellow Philly neighbor they no longer have the horses to compete with. The Big Green is also 1-1. If the experts are right and Penn wins the Ivy again, this home game they will win. The minimal points shouldn’t matter.

Northern Iowa +14 @ No Dakota St. – FCS game of the year b4 the playoffs. Both stand at 4-0. Two time defending FCS champ ND St comes off 20-0 shutout of So Dakota St, a principal conference rival, while NIU had OOC win against McNeese by a surprising margin last week. I would love to see this game but it’s not ESPN’s cup of tea. Gimme the points.

Western Illinois +10 ½ @ Illinois State – Staying in the same Missouri Conference but with two much less potent elevens . I suspect the wrong ‘Illinois’ is favored here, and one of my services agree. Again, Gimme the points.

Wm & Mary +8 ½ @ Villanova – These are two of the nine teams in the Colonial Conf I mentioned in the Towson-UNH post where any one can beat the other. For the third time, Gimme the points

I remember Wade, and was almost getting to P M you. At this point it looks like Sacred Heart will win the NE Conf and make the playoffs . Tell your cousin that you have a 'friend ' who wishes success to him and his fellow "Pioneers" .

Ive learned so much more about FCS schools by coming to the Bullsheet & I thank you. 1 day i'll get confident enough to make plays, but until then I will continue to come & learn

Bull good luck today. Really like that Northern Iowa team getting 14.0. That is a well-coached squad with a tremedous RB in Johnson. I would expect them to keep it close against the vaunted Bison.
