I am betting : $50 on #5 to win $20 X Box 1-5 Good Luck todayBig weekend kicks off at Del Mar with 5 two-year-old Breeders Cup races today.
Best race on card is the 9th, the Juvenile. East Avenue is the 5/2 ml favorite. I think he's the best horse, but I think him drawing the rail really compromises his chances.
He's the one of this group I'd want in the Kentucky Derby futures markets. He looks like an older horse on the track galloping in the mornings. He's a physical stand out. But this is a strong group he faces today.
It's such a deep group that there are 3 Bafferts in here, and his best chance, Gaming, will be 4th or 5th choice.
Can't argue there. Johnathan's Way is immensely talented and can easily win this and definitely has a better post. GL today.I am betting : $50 on #5 to win $20 X Box 1-5 Good Luck today
I watched a youtube show with Jerry Bailey & Randy Moss and have had success using their insights. They said that the fav in the Classic City of Troy looks like a turf horse and that although Aiden O'Brien may be the best turf trainer ever, when brining a turf horse to race on dirt he is an awful 2 - 75!!! Today in race 6 they are using a single # 8 Ecoro Sieg. Race 7 trying to beat the fav with # 5 Quickick # 9 American Bikini & # 10 Scottish Lassie and R8 #1 Lake Victoria # 7 Thought Process & # 8 Heavens Gate. And in the Classic they like # 9 Fierceness # 12 Arthurs Ride & #1 Forever Young over #11 Sierra # 7 Usuba and # 13 Newgate underneath excoticsTo me one of the most fascinating aspects of the BC is the amount of Japanese horses this year. 18 or 19 something like that, including Forever Young in the Classic.
We'll find out right away with Ecoro Sieg in the Juvy turf sprint and American Bikini in the Juvy fillies.
Yeah. Aidan's 2 dirt winners were Mendelssohn in the UAE Derby and Johannesburg in the Juvenile Colts. This is the main reason why I'll be most tailing others this year. That and just not enough time to do a deep dive on the PPs.To me one of the most fascinating aspects of the BC is the amount of Japanese horses this year. 18 or 19 something like that, including Forever Young in the Classic.

Good to see you on here. Was looking forward to your thoughts and insights. This is the main reason why I'll be most tailing others this year. That and just not enough time to do a deep dive on the PPs.
Went there in 2008. Such a good time. Back when they had the poly track. Strangest thing is you couldn't hear the horses hooves go over it. Made no noise.God Del Mar looks so awesome
Have spent a couple nights out on the town there but never been to the track, maybe next year
First time I went out in Del Mar on a Friday night was 2008 during the US Open. Place was buzzing of course, I don't think the meet had started yet but I love Del Mar/La Jolla just as a place to do life when things are going onWent there in 2008. Such a good time. US Open in mid-June, the year Tiger won. Insane weekend then went to Miami/Key West a couple weeks, incredible month!Aug 22, 2008. Maybe we were there at the same time. Lol
Oh shit. I was thinking tennis. Lol.US Open in mid-June, the year Tiger won. Insane weekend then went to Miami/Key West a couple weeks, incredible month!
Then the global economy fell off a cliff..
No Vodka with a Twist. Immersive much best.Next race Juvenile fillies. Pretty mediocre bunch imo. Scottish Lassie last was good. Don't think she beat much.
I'll use the horses out of the Alcibiades. Immersive and Outkick and throw in LA Cara and American Bikini.
Nice start to that p5 though, great watching raceDammit forgot to throw a win bet in on the 8.
