Narduzzi Gives Me Second-Hand Embarrassment
The Breeders Cup is Friday and Saturday. Feel free to post anything you'd like here.

I have downloaded DRF past performances for both days. If you'd like them just shoot me your email and I'll send you a file.

Big weekend kicks off at Del Mar with 5 two-year-old Breeders Cup races today.

Best race on card is the 9th, the Juvenile. East Avenue is the 5/2 ml favorite. I think he's the best horse, but I think him drawing the rail really compromises his chances.

He's the one of this group I'd want in the Kentucky Derby futures markets. He looks like an older horse on the track galloping in the mornings. He's a physical stand out. But this is a strong group he faces today.

It's such a deep group that there are 3 Bafferts in here, and his best chance, Gaming, will be 4th or 5th choice.

I am betting : $50 on #5 to win $20 X Box 1-5 Good Luck today

To me one of the most fascinating aspects of the BC is the amount of Japanese horses this year. 18 or 19 something like that, including Forever Young in the Classic.

We'll find out right away with Ecoro Sieg in the Juvy turf sprint and American Bikini in the Juvy fillies.

I watched a youtube show with Jerry Bailey & Randy Moss and have had success using their insights. They said that the fav in the Classic City of Troy looks like a turf horse and that although Aiden O'Brien may be the best turf trainer ever, when brining a turf horse to race on dirt he is an awful 2 - 75!!! Today in race 6 they are using a single # 8 Ecoro Sieg. Race 7 trying to beat the fav with # 5 Quickick # 9 American Bikini & # 10 Scottish Lassie and R8 #1 Lake Victoria # 7 Thought Process & # 8 Heavens Gate. And in the Classic they like # 9 Fierceness # 12 Arthurs Ride & #1 Forever Young over #11 Sierra # 7 Usuba and # 13 Newgate underneath excotics

Yeah. Aidan's 2 dirt winners were Mendelssohn in the UAE Derby and Johannesburg in the Juvenile Colts. Crazy.

So yeah, do we think City of Troy will be any different in the Classic?

I read some saying Ecoro Sieg is the fastest 2yo ever to run in Japan.

This is the main reason why I'll be most tailing others this year. That and just not enough time to do a deep dive on the PPs.

Good to see you on here. Was looking forward to your thoughts and insights.

Yeah the Japanese horses make it tough. No doubt.

Of the Japanese outside of Forever Young, I think I prefer American Bikini as a win candidate. That last race was on dirt, with a left hand turn she will face today. Although only one turn, bit was against males.

Also I don't think this greatest Juvenile Fillies field ever assembled. I'm not singling her, but will be in my multi race wagers.

I'm playing mostly exactas today:
Race 1 - 5 / 4,6,9
Race 3 - 1,9 / 1,3,4,6,9
Race 4 - 6,10 / 2,4,5,6,10,15
Race 6 - 2,8 / 2,7,8,12
Race 7 - 3,9 / 2,3,5,9
Race 8 - 1 / 2,4,6,7
Race 9 - 1,10 / 1,4,5,6,10

Couple of box tri's
Race 5 - 3,4,5,7
Race 10 - 1,4,5,10,11

One could stretch the exactas into tri's using the 2nd choice in both place and show slots. Or use the top choices in horizontal wagers.

God Del Mar looks so awesome

Have spent a couple nights out on the town there but never been to the track, maybe next year
Went there in 2008. Such a good time. Back when they had the poly track. Strangest thing is you couldn't hear the horses hooves go over it. Made no noise.

First time I went out in Del Mar on a Friday night was 2008 during the US Open. Place was buzzing of course, I don't think the meet had started yet but I love Del Mar/La Jolla just as a place to do life when things are going on

No opinion here. Threw a few bucks on #2 Smash It for the NM connection. Probably has no shot to get a mile.

Yeah we were there on a Friday. It was Pacific Ciassic weekend. Wish I could've seen it.

Aug 22, 2008. Maybe we were there at the same time. Lol

Don't know why Smash It wasn't on the lead. Oh well on to the next one.

US Open in mid-June, the year Tiger won. Insane weekend then went to Miami/Key West a couple weeks, incredible month!

Then the global economy fell off a cliff..
Oh shit. I was thinking tennis. Lol.

Now that you mention it I do remember being back in SD for a couple weeks around Classic time, think that was '08 too. Used to be very common to go to SD in the Summer on a whim

Used Magnum Gorce but needed Governor Sam to run 2nd. Sure didn't see Arizona Blaze there. Maybe a @KJ hunch play. Lol

Next race Juvenile fillies. Pretty mediocre bunch imo. Scottish Lassie last was good. Don't think she beat much.

I'll use the horses out of the Alcibiades. Immersive and Outkick and throw in LA Cara and American Bikini.

Ha I was pulling for Gov Sam, I had no feel for that race. Trying to get a couple things done so I can just kick it for the last few races

No Vodka with a Twist. Immersive much best.

Hard to get past Lake Victoria here. Only concern she comes out of relatively small fields.

Thought Process looks good but California horses suck on the grass in the BC.

#7 winning confirmed now. Trying to beat her in the exotics. I know how this usually ends.

Just a flyer daily double

1,4,5,7,10/7

Taking a shot with Seagulls Eleven in the 10th

Wow. Was that a debacle. Lol. Baffert just gallops around 1-2 after that rat Nooni goes 44 in the filly race. What a joke. Oh well. That's enough for me today.
