BPL contest ideas

Wanted to do some brainstorming on some contests we can have. Last year we did the knockout contest, and Teeed had mentioned doing something for BPL as we did with the WC 4 man contest. If anyone has any ideas, throw them out there.

Well we could do a 4 man contest for the Premier League, but with only 20 teams that is just 5 teams to a guy. Simply add up all the points in the standings of your 5 teams with GD as a tiebreaker if needed. To help alleviate the problem of such few teams I was thinking maybe we combine the EPL and La Liga, both are 20 team leagues and that would give us 10 teams each so it shouldn't be as tight.

Was thinking either we flat out draft from all 40 teams combined with no rules as to how many teams you end up with from either league...or we draft from the EPL and then reverse order the teams and do a draft for La Liga.

If it's are same 4 guys from the WC then I'm guessing Dwight and I know for sure that I am gonna need some time to catch up all the La Liga teams. Perhaps my 2nd draft idea is better because EPL starts in little less than a month yet La Liga doesn't start until October...Monger you know why such a late start ?

Nevermind I think it's just Wiki had bad info on when La Liga starts...looks like it starts a week after the EPL.

And I will go ahead and ask here Monger, Dwight, and Teed you guys interested in a 4 man contest for the NFL...snake draft each guy drafts 7 teams. We add up all the wins including the playoffs to determine the winner.

Pyppurs I think there would be enough interest in another foursome...I would do another if you need a 4th.

I think a survivor league like last year will happen, I would suggest that it takes 2 losses to be knocked out due to how unpredictable the EPL is and how short it lasted last season.

For Survivor leagues, I think the way to make it last longer is to do

you advance with a

Win at home or not losing (win or draw) away

makes the bottom half of the table more usable
