Frank - not sure if you saw any FCS game last weekend? SDSU @ NDSU - Anish Shroff and Ahmad Brooks called the game - they were outstanding. You prob know Ahmad from being a Texas guy.

I did not see the game. Brooks has done work on the Longhorn Network and, yes, he does a good job.

It's always interesting to see how awful a bowl they can assign to Desmond commensurate with his (broadcasting) talent. Boca Raton Bowl is about right.

I'm actually far too excited for the Boca Raton bowl - at least I was until you pointed out Desmond is calling it. I'm hoping that boxing commentator they rolled out for MACTION didn't get the invite or they may ruin what could be best bowl of the year

Glad Pasch (local Cardinals guy) and McElroy got two of the better games in Orlando, great crew

Desmond is the worst I've ever heard him tonight and that's saying something. One of my favorites was when Memphis scored to cut it to 44-31 with half of 4Q to play, Lamont said something to Desmond to the effect of "Well, if you're Memphis you're defense has been really struggling to stop them do you onside here or kick it deep." Desmond stuttered, clearly had no idea what implications either option would have on the game and muttered (my paraphrase), "Your defense has been really bad so I'd kick it deep, ha ha ha." Interesting, Des, very interesting.

He's the worst - both on games and on Game Day. One of the biggest mysteries of this or any other century is how he's been able to keep a job so long.

Hahaha

I caught that too...

It took me a second to realize who was calling it. I knew the voice, then I was like, no....no...that can't be! Is it?

Is this something he has done for a while? I can't say I remember him doing commentating before.

I like him on CGD.

Does he see Herbie do it, and say, "gimme that mic son....I got this!" Lol

Does Pollard do it too?

Does Pollard do it too?

He did some meek week MACtion this year but hasnt done any saturdays that i'm aware of. I don't mind him on CGD as much but that's prob because he has a couple greats around him that help him. Pollack hasn't that I can recall but I'm certain he would do better than Desmond - Pollack is intelligent and articulate.

Brock Huard is the worst of all time. I had to mute Washington State game and he is going to ruin wisconsin western mich.
