Bama it is! Funny story Blood. I have a bet with Charles Barkley on the Iron Bowl. I see him in tahoe every july. There's $$$ involved and also a Bama hat for him to wear if he loses.

I would love to have a pic of Barkley in a RollTide hat :)
Tide will not have any trouble with Auburn even though it is the bitter rivalry. I would normally say its one of those anything can happen games but I dont believe so this yr. At -13 presently and this is one U can load the wagon with as much as it will hold GL Wise
 
Charles insisted there is no way Bama is winning in Auburn. I usually watch a lot of Auburn games but for whatever reason, I haven't this year. A breakdown of the matchup would be great. GL buddy

I'm leaning with you on most of those, Blood, but I haven't done much handicapping yet.

More than a foot of new snow already with 2 feet more expected through the weekend and all the ski resorts are opening up for the weekend. Life is much better in a resort town with the ski areas open. Social life improves about 200%. I may go out and ski powder myself if we get enough snow.

Blood, do you or Frank or any of the good handicappers who post on this thread have any stats or long-term trends on how teams do when they are playing a game the week before they play for their conference title? I see a lot of teams--Iowa, Florida, Bama, etc--playing rivalry games, but the game is meaningless compared to the game they play next week.

I had the under on B Green last night because I knew they were going to call off the dogs early to be ready for next week and sure enough they pulled all their important guys early. Any of you have any feel for those situations in other games this week?

I went 4-4-1 last week but lost money because my big bets lost. Bad job of handicapping on Ok State/Baylor, bad luck on Okla/TCU. Oklahoma is ordinary without Mayfield.

Funny thing, I was at the MGM when Michigan blew it against Mich State this year..he was in the upper rooms of the books and when that happened he started cheering over the ledge. Got to shake his hand...apparently he had a sizable bet on mich state ml

I'll 2nd this. You do bring a lot to this forum. I find myself checking out your threads each week. It is a great barometer to tell if I am thinking straight. Your "take it up to" is priceless for those that jump the early lines, like yourself. So, thanks for all you do.

I've decided it's time to call it a year. I had one of my best years ever and won a ton of money. It's always best to leave the table when you are as far ahead as I am before your luck turns, and I got the hint mine may have turned last week when I had a max bet on Oklahoma and Mayfield had to leave the game.

I decided to split my standard unit into five parts this week and bet 100 per game on five games just for entertainment. I handicapped them a little, but not nearly the depth I usually do, and mainly just went by feel.

wise, i havent had time to do much indepth stuff but if i remember right the Cards have the D to slow down the cats annd I dont think the cats score ovr 24 , i make it a cards win 27-24 GL buddy
