Black Monday- Morris, Stefanski, Carroll, Gannon

So Woody Rachel Phelps Johnson is almost definitely going to give Aaron Glenn the worst coach in the history of the world a second season and people wonder why I am so negative.

I mean you’re not getting a quality candidate at this time. Need to bottom out one more year. Lots of draft capital coming but the entire roster is baron.

Browns so stupid. He get another job whenever he wants it. If bengals had any sense they would fire that bum Taylor and hire him today
Tough call. On the one hand he went 3-4 with Shedeur and his 68.1 QB rating. On the other hand he went 1-5 with Gabriel, 2024 was a disaster, Flacco saved 2023 only for them to get rolled in the playoffs, and he gave up on Baker the year after their last playoff win.

Is he the guy to trust to groom the next QB?

I mean the only thing I could hold against him
For Gabriel is if he actually wanted Gabriel which would speak more to his ability to evaluate talent than coach. Baker was hurt and played like straight up trash that year. I think he should get more credit for as good he had them with a young baker. He basically been doomed since these morons traded for Watson. 2x coach of year, there really nothing out there I would take over him in this coaching cycle which why im sure he shot to top of some teams list. I have absolutely no doubt whomever Browns hire will be worse than him.

Yeah lets definitely allow Glenn to pick a QB and the rest of the roster since he's done so well at it already. Don't believe this narrative that no one will take this job all it takes is Woody contractually agreeing to get the hell out of the way.

Stefanski is a 2 time coach of the year with a joke of an organization. I would welcome him with open arms and trust him to find a QB.

There is one guy I’d take over stefanski, usually don’t like defensive guys but I’d hire Flores in a second. Dude has proven he can coach, not his fault dumb shit fish drafted Tua even tho he begged them for Herbert.

Flores is probably the only defensive coach I would look to hire.

I’m biased against defensive guys also, but it really not fair, after all bellichevk was that, there several really good ones in league now, Ryans and McDonnell both fantastic. Flores has already proven he can do it, I thought he did a good job in Miami considering, they played way harder for him than this dude. I’d think raiders hire him and draft Mendoza, that makes them instantly respectable.

Seems like a no brainer. Geno contract sort of sucks but it only has 2 more years left on it.

110+ million in cap space. Mendoza. Vegas. Definitely the best job on the market right now.

It's not good - most rosters aren't when they have no QB. Murray is likely to have taken his last snap?

And only 44 million in cap. 14th in cap space. For a 3 win team they're about 75 million behind other rebuilding teams and they need to give Trey 30 million/year soon.
They just re-upped Trey last offseason. Crazy to have a pro bowl starter on both sides and not have it, I look back at JoeP's analysis at the beginning of the season and it was spot on. They lost Conner and they lost the running downhill mentality. Then throw in Benson an, they were down to the bit RBs since September for the most part. Not good when that was such a strength. McBride, Wilson, and Harrison (assuming he can get his head on and stay healthy) will be an outstanding receiving cast for whoever they get, just likely not via draft instantly. Which sucks.

It's been long known that Murray is gone, been known since October when it was reported he'd taken his last snap for the team. Defense is loaded but the Nolen injury certainly was a downer from the start of camp. When he finally played, he was a stud. They ended up on the field far more often than needed but that's what happens when you can't run the ball and eventually they gave some very half-assed efforts. Gannon had the tools, it slowly eroded the 2nd half of the season when Brissett was averaging over 45 passes a game and the defense continuously got little rest. Pretty good effort yesterday all things considered.

Hoping for no retread at HC, curious how they handle QB because this isn't a project to build roster.

I just don't get all the love for him. I know Browns are shit organization. But I thought he handled the qb situation very poorly this year. But most here seem to think he's great. I do admit he'd be upgrade over Glenn. Draft will be disaster with him. Raiders firing Pete after 1 year as did ne with Mayo gives cover to get rid of him.

Such a Marc Davis thing to do...rinse & repeat 🤡

In Vegas - we got both Oakland teams shoved down our throats, not to mentioned Allegiant Stadium is one of (if not) the most expensive venues to attend. In 2028, we're getting the shitty ass Oakland A's as well and will probably be the most expensive MLB stadiums to attend.

$18/ tall boys
$10/ hot dogs

What's not to love.....

Best be a nice glizzzzzzy

Forgot to mentioned that parking in Vegas is also ridiculous...

Any event at Allegiant Stadium and T-Mobile:

$50 - to park at the casinos
$40+ - private parking lots
$80+ - Ride Share. I remember we spent $20 for Uber from The M to Allegiant for a soccer match. Coming back it was $80+ after the game....ended up walking to the Excalibur and called someone to pick us up.

That’s just weird to me on Pete…unless they already had a deal done with one of these other guys

Same organization that drafted Henry Ruggs III, who will be eligible for parole in August 2026....after driving 150mph while intoxicated, killing a girl and her dog.

Not like I think stefanski is one the best coaches in game or anything, I would say he for sure in the top half the league tho. I agree what he did with the qb’s this year wasn’t great, don’t think he had any interest in Shedeur which right or wrong he clearly wasn’t alone in that opinion. I find it super difficult to believe browns will make a hire better than him is my main point. if there was a really good proven coach out there or a super hot oc like Ben Johnson last year they could go get id say go for it, if they hired Flores id retract thinking this was dumb. The problem is why would Flores or anyone who should have better options go to cle? I’m all for upgrading whenever possible I just don’t think that gonna be the case given this franchises track record.

It been so long since I been to Vegas and never been with a vehicle so wouldn’t know but it seems crazy to me the casinos wouldn’t offer a shuddle or something to sporting events, a few bars in stl do that for free. I can’t believe the casinos charge for parking? Jfc, they gonna get that money anyways!! lol

Casinos are next to the venue at T-Mobile so locals go there to park. Kinda like any other city, they aren't going there to be customers like typical bars in most cities. I'd think you could just park up the way and take the monorail to MGM though but it's still a little hike to the arena through that place to the street.
