Red Sox basically taking the stance of "We pay you the money, you do what we tell you....if not, you're gone".

I can understand that point of view, but it also feels like they were kind of jerking him around with the whole "buy into being the DH" thing and then having to switch gears when the 1B injury occurred.
 
There was a play about a week ago where devers jogged out a pfp situation. Sox manager was furious and rigjtfully so. I know they wanted to move him, but that was the final straw.

As long as he is not a locker room cancer, it was a good move for the Giants to add a lefty power hitter to help with run production which has been their weakness.

Haha complete lip service, leopards don't change their spots just like that

As for SF they needed the bat regardless of the cancer he might or might not be in that division so can't fault them for taking the chance
