Bears cut Tank Johnson

Joe Public

Gabibbo's Finest
He got stopped the other day in AZ for suspicion of driving under the influence.

I don't know if he's been charged yet, but the Bears haven't waited.

They kicked his *ss out of Chicago. Story.

It's not going to be a huge immediate loss for Chicago, if only from the standpoint that they weren't going to have him for eight games anyway based on his league suspension for pretending to be Red and stockpiling guns at his house.

But eventually somebody's going to pick this guy up and get him for free (the Bengals, maybe?). If they can keep him on the field, it'll be a nice gain for some team.

All praise to Roger Goodell for running these fools out of the NFL. They may be able to play football, but that's it.

Get rid of 'em all.

If I do that kind of crap, then my boss would fire my ass, and rightly so. Why should one of these dumb turkeys get to keep his job????

I'd love to hear you come into an office and justify to your boss some of the stuff Tank Johnson's had to go through, Clay.

"Well, you see sir, it's kind of a funny story. Although, not so much 'ha ha' funny. So, first the cops came to my house and they found all these guns. Now, the guns are mine--it's not like I was holding them illegally for anybody. Well, they were illegal, but only kind of, because they're registered in another state, that's kind of a different story. What's important here is that a couple of days after that, I was at this nightclub and my friend, well, he was also my bodyguard, too, he got shot. Sadly, he died. Anyway, here's the thing, I'm not a bad person and I really appreciate . . ."

this is just one reason why i am proud to be a chicago bears fan. they dont put up with horseshit.

In contrast to the Cleveland Browns, who not only put up with it, they put it in a uniform and start it on Sundays.

Hey, hey, thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week.

he never really did live up to the hype anyways. good riddance.

1 player doesnt make a team. next.

I'm actually under the impression that most--not all, but most--D-line guys are replaceable. The question is can you and will you replace them.

The Eagles let go Corey Simon, few of us really cared. Then they didn't replace him with anybody comparable, suddenly an average run defense became a bad run defense and all us Birds fans were pissed.

I don't think Tank will be completely missed, so long as somebody steps up. The question is, will they.

JP,

I agree, man. We'd all be fired on the spot.

Fuck "Tank Johnson." Send his ass back to the real world. What a dummy.

Certified dumb-ass Sean Taylor is next on the Roger Goodell "hit list."

All praise to Roger Goodell for running these fools out of the NFL.

Has "Stephen A Smith" gotten irate about the latest NFL target hunt??? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What about Rev Al and Jesse?????

Waiting to hear the garbage from those 2/3.

I actually disagree. The Bears nasty defense was much, much worse when Tank was not around, IMO.

DL, especially DT's, are kinda like offensive centers...you don't really notice them, but they make a bigger difference than you think.

Clay, it must really hurt that Sean Taylor hasn't gotten in trouble in two years. I mean, seriously...admit it, you want to set him up deep down inside so that he gets arrested and is another angry loser Redskin.

I know you hate Dan Snyder, but the facts are the facts, and you can't skew them. He was innocent of the DUI arrest in 2004. Maybe guilty of a bad decision and DWB, but not DUI. His assault charges from June 3, 2005, appear to have been overblown by a prosecutor who wanted to get famous off Sean Taylor.

Other than that, he held out, but what else?

Sorry, but in America, you have to actually be guilty of crimes to get in trouble. Wearing a Redskins logo is not enough to get suspended.

Now, go talk about Jared Allen or something.

the loss of mike brown and then tom harris were far more significant than tank.

our defense is built around the mlb and not some 2nd round bust who is yet to live up to the hype and continues to have no regard for his team by going out and putting himself in these situations he constantly is.

go buy yourself some more rounds (both kinds) tank.

Sean Taylor is an extraordinary talent, no doubt. He is the hardest hitter in the NFL.

And for the record, Seabass, I admire Taylor on the field. He plays hard and takes no shit from anyone.

But that's as far as it goes.

This particular young man is a loose cannon off it. Just a matter of time.

Did you know that during his rookie year, Coach Gibbs had to send him off the practice field cause his shorts kept falling down? I guess he couldn't find a belt to wear them around his legs.

Yeah, Taylor is incurably innocent. All his off-field antics have been misrepresented. He's just a victim. Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.
