Early favs for me are Dixon and Herta but probably won’t be worth it. Dixon is due here with nine top 5’s out of the eleven races held. Worth noting that 5 of the 11 were won from pole. But you actually can pass at this track.

Yeah Skip was one of the pioneers of racing schools. George (track owner) was from the Barber Milk/Dairies.

Weather is looking more sketchy for Saturday and Sunday btw. Don’t anticipate anything too bad at this point, but could be problematic. We’ll just have to stay on top of it

Fade train ?

Though not a track Andretti Autosport has performed well at (one top-4 across the team in the last six races at Barber), Herta, Alexander Rossi and Grosjean finished 1-2-4 in a 13-driver private test earlier this month, when combining drivers’ overall best times from the morning and afternoon sessions. Testing times only mean so much, but perhaps they found something they can apply Sunday that will leave them better off than Rossi’s fade from starting 2nd to finishing 9th a year ago – a team best.

Draft kings. Think Dixon and Power offer the most value. With Dixon’s history here +900 seems really nice even though he has started the season rather ho hum (for him anyway) with a 8th, 5th and a 6th. Power with a 3,4 and 4.

Practice 1– Newgarden mired near the bottom but he said since they weren’t here for the last test they were “working on other things” . Could have just been running a full fuel load and running a race pace. Who knows but we’ll find out tomorrow morning

Practice 2- Rossi in the wall with heavy damage and Helio hit his debris. All the following had various mishaps….Kirkwood, Power, Newgarden, Grosjean. Looks like 51% rain at 4pm which means they should get thru qualifying but it may impact the final practice. With no warm up in the morning that matters.

Sato really hasn’t meshed with his new team so he’s certainly in mind for fading. They’ve never raced with the aero screen in rain so tomorrow could be a clusterfuck. Makes me think of the shit show they had in Louisiana years back. I’ll probably tread lightly if the forecast is bad. Who knows yet. That’s a blistering time by Veekay. I’ll be honest I still haven’t figured him out. Not so sure he has himself.

Found where Pato says the rain tires are not replaced until “they are used up”. He then stated they are two years old and this was not ideal. Yikes. With races scheduled this morning they can’t move the the race up either. Looking like 50% for the duration. Cluster fuck is lining up well I fear. I’ll check out the radar/forecast again.

I can’t ever plays guys when they’re that short and no play on Dixon for sure. He’s being outperformed by his teammate consistently these days. The value play in my mind is McLaughlin +900. Looks like the timing of this might be dry after all. Waiting on my matchups to appear. The McLaughlin +225 seems decent too.
