Steed so salty--someone pissed in his cornflakes, please forgive him.

Great idea VK

This works decent with bowl games, but not regular season. The bowl games could be similar to NFL since lines are not outrageous like -23, -38 like in the regular season. That Nevada bowl game...well shit happens and Nevada should have won that game SU to keep the record perfect on favs and dogs.

Will be watching!

2 dogs today catching around 2-1 odds. Play them both on ML? Or do faves go 6-0 SU to start bowl season? Split would be positive money. So far this bowl season is bucking the old axiom to bet dogs early and faves late.

It's usually faves early. It definitely was last year.

Favs were great straight up early last bowl season, but not necessarily ATS. For a few years though "dogs until January 1st, favs after" had practically become conventional wisdom. I think it just varies year after year. With 30-35 bowl games a year we are dealing with really small samples in terms of categorizing things.

ML Dogs not making out. Both dogs had a great chance to win today but failed down the stretch in each game.

Interesting FG attempt from ULL coach. Smart in my opinion .... helping all those fans that bet on you and might donate to program is more important than the fluke chance of block for a TD.

the next group of games doesnt exactly look promising either. See maybe one dog winning before the pickem type game with ucla baylor

interestin stat from blankets:

DOGS are 81-85 ATS last 5 years....with 58 upsets
*dropping ties

best spots?
WAC vs CUSA or MTW = 19-3 ATS
SBelt games = 8-1-1
SEC vs ACC = 10-3
P12 as 6+ dog = 15-3
fade Big 12...as < 10 pt dog = 3-13
CUSA 7+ dog = 11-4-1
*but CUSA vs MAC = fav is 11-1
fade MAC = 7-17 dog
ACC vs SEC= dogs 11-3 (66% over years)
fade = dogs in B10 games are 4-13-1 ATS
*but B10 vs ACC = dogs 8-1-1
B10 as short (+3) dog = 9-5
fade BE as 6+ dog = 4-15
