any systems for capping baseball

I not too much of a baseball fan but I know some money can be made during the season. anybody has a capping system with a proven track record that can be of use this upcoming season. I have about 100units saved up and want to see what I can get this season

i remember seeing someone doing a 'Past 10 games' system

goes something like this

if a team is 3-7, 2-8, 1-9 or 0-10 in their last 10 games and they are favored over a team that is 7-3, 8-2, 9-1 or 10-0 then play on the underdog

someone did it last year and it was in the 55 - 60% range

some nights you might not have any games that fit the system but other nights you might have 5

i'll see if i can find the final numbers from last season but i do remember it was hitting over 50% and since you are betting on the underdogs it brings in a pretty good return

that seems like a systems that would be hard to track and figure out when the last 10 games records match the system is there a spreadsheet or a way to track it, it might be worth a try. I'm also open to new ideas

you just go on yahoo.com and look at the MLB standings....it'll tell you what the team's record is for the past 10 games

then just look at the lines and pick the teams that fit the system

how many scenarios do u think there would be during a season, since it's not an everyday thing but once in a while type.

there is always the chase system...just bet on the team who you do not think will get swept....I don't advise this, but its the only baseball system I have heard of...

Honestly though...if you are good at predicting which way the price will go...up or down...arbitrage is at its best during MLB.

Particularly if you use Matchbook. Matchbook is an arbitrage bettor's dream...

The Chase System isn't bad, but you have to have a rational person with some brains choosing what is and what is not a play, or when to jump off a side...too many people play it too randomly and lose their shirts...

Seabass knows...I tried to explain this about Matchbook for MLB...but I got ridiculed by a mod for it...

Austin, you didn't get ridiculed.

We just like to keep the sportsbook discussion in the sportsbook forum.

here is that one system from last season that i was talking about i was slightly off on the description but i didn't play it last year

Any team 3-7 or worse in their last 10 games, should not be favored (Play against the team 3-7 or worse if they are favored)

Any team 7-3 or better in their last 10 games, should not be a dog (Play on the 7-3 or better team if they are the underdog)

**the line you use is the one just before game time**

Season Finishes 195-193 for +$4,564.00

only 388 games played in the system +$4,564.00 for the season

Basically what you have learned is in baseball the DUE Theory is the worse avenue possible. If a team is HOT regardless of who they are then ride them and if they are cold fade them. So if the Devil Rays are hot take them dont pay -200 thinking they should lose. Same with the Yankees if they are sliding dont lay -250 thinking they will win fade them...

Last year a 500 record produced a good profit but it could vary.

If your looking for a clueless system its ride the hot teams and fade the cold ones. Never say a team is DUE. The Series chase is awful approach cost me tons of dough in my younger years. AWFUL. I am not saying it might not be a decent spot to roll with a GOOD team avoiding a home sweep or something but make sure the price is decent .

Just always remember that the baseball season is long and a team can be in a pattern that last 2 weeks .

What was the unit size for whoever played that system? Just wondering how much they wagered per game for a 4k profit.

$100 per game was played to get those results

they started playing this system on 6/8/06 so it was a good 2 months into the season but you can start using it once a team has 10 games played

baseball is THE dog sport...I have seen Mussina lose at home KC and many -330's go up in flames....

Know your Over teams, your RL teams or if you follow a certain division stick with that...

Can't wait for APRIL....

agree...
i also try to avoid as much juice as possible. only takes a couple of what austin mentioned to really take a bite outta your roll.

also, powerade had a pretty successful system going last year...basically fading any team that lost by 5 or more runs the previous game.
i'm sure he'll be in here soon, and can explain it best. but it was indeed quite succesful for most of last season.

jsut a couple days to pitchers and catchers reporting:smiley_acbe:

Since it is such a marathon keeping with just National or just American can keep focus...BULLPENS, BULLPENS, BULLPENS...not the three most important things in MLB capping, but is up there...gotta follow who is available and can go in the pen if needed...don't take a knife to a gun fight...don't bet on a depleted pen!
