Everyone knows DeLaSalle has the longest winning streak in high school football at 151 straight games. That ended a decade or so ago, but they had another one that is just as amazing. They won 318 games in a row against Northern California teams. They lost now and then over the years to a national powerhouse--although they won a lot more of those than they lost--and they lost to Southern California powerhouses in the state playoffs now and then, but they have been dominant for so long in Northern California most people don't even remember the last time they lost (it was 30 years ago, the only loss to a Northern California team in the last half century).
They turned out a lot of good players during that time, including the Alabama LB who was all over the field making plays against Ole Miss
But the streak was snapped this year. They also lost last week to another Catholic powerhouse, this one from Baltimore
