The 2024 season is upon us and we all look forward to the daily grind of bases.

Here's an interesting list to ponder...
Shohei is a class alone, but he does double-duty...well not this year as he's unlikely to pitch in 2024.

Morton may be a bit of a head scratcher, but since 2019 he's been an above average pitcher.
55-32, 3.63 ERA, WHIP of 1.19, 119 ERA+ and FIP 3.49. His K/9 is over 10, including 10.8 last year. That's pretty good.
Patrick Corbin on the other hand is getting paid 35M and is hot garbage. Since 2019 you're looking at
41-64, 5.00 ERA, WHIP 1.45, 85 ERA+ and FIP 4.66. K/9 is just over 8 and has been on the decline for 4 straight years. This is AAA quality tbh, not 6th highest paid pitcher in the league stuff.
