just stay away from the east if you think the west will win. Amare has great value and I see him playing alot since this is Duncan's thousandth game.
 
I feel retarded for taking Kobe +1500 , now i hear he may play like 1 minute and thats all, oh well I got Bosh +2000 as a back up
 
That's so odd, I looked at that list and Melo was the first name that jumped out to me. I figured I'd be totally alone in that.

I'm surprised to see others looking at him as well.
 
I'd drop Nash off that list. I'll be surprised to see him play a ton with Scott coaching the West. The Hornets have Tuesday off and no travel. I think Scott will do everything in his power to get Paul the MVP and I'm sure Nash and Iverson will have no problem letting him do his thing in New Orleans. I'd play Paul and Amare and call it a day.
 
went paul and amare for 1, melo for 1/2

could be a glorious AS weekend or like it never happened.
 
Good Stuff J. Thinks thats what I shall do..play Paul at least not sure who else I want to ride with it but Amare ore Melo probably gets the longshot play
 
Reason I like Amare more than Melo is that you're going to need Melo's shot to be dropping to win it. Granted there is a good chance it will be during an ASG, but with Amare you don't have to worry about any of that. His game is perfect for an ASG and dunks never have an off day.
 
I just have to point out that beside Howard, nobody has made a case for the East. What about Bron? I'd give longshot looks at Butler & Roy....

If you think somebody from the East is going to win it skip the MVP voting and take the game ML. It covers all players and has a decent payout. No reason to bet players individually on the dog here.

Yeah, I put a cheeseburger's worth of coin on Melo just because I'm a degenerate and feel the need to have something on the game. And at 8/1, why not?
 
Jeff this may be suprising but I am gonna change my mind . Gonna stick with the bigs Amare and Howard. Melo was en fuego for a few games last week seting a career high and that may make it a week to late for him...

Howard should get alot of minutes after yesterdays display along with the fact the East is short on bigs ( only Bosh off the bench) . Amare also looked sweet last week hitting a bunch of tough jumpers on THurs vs SA....screw the PGs...been to many two guards and bigs winning the award......

Roy is a darkhouse but you never know how many minutes he will get...:cheers:

If you like the WEST its not a bad play. Typically no difference bewteen opening and closing lines as far as results go. So this opened -7 I believe ..if they were to cover -5( wow!)then they should cover 7 at least which makes 8 worst case a PUSH...

And u can be real gambler and play the EAST ML and pray for anything but a WEST win from 1-7 points....:36_11_6:

:cheers: I'm not playing it at all but now I've got two guys to cheer for. 10 to 1 on Howard is a good deal rolling off of the Dunk competition yesterday.

Nah, I didn't touch the game. I'm on UCLA, that's enough for me.

I did lose my cheeseburger money on 'Melo, but as I said, as soon as I knew the fans could vote on it I was convinced it would be LeBron.

The NBA's kind of a joke.
