well looks like the Alfred Dunhill Links in gonna be a STINKER for me AGAIN. South African Justin Walters (OWGR #444) the 1st round leader @ [-9] then four more tied 2nd @ [-8]. my closest player Richie Ramsay tied 6th with six others @ [-7]

my tourney match plays pretty much a complete WRECK with Wallace and esp Van Rooyen getting clobbered. Wiesberger at least tied with Willett
Bernd Wiesberger -105 [even] over Danny Willett [even] TIED
Matt Wallace -105 [-2] over Tyrrell Hatton [-6] 4 DOWN
Eric Van Rooyen [+5] even over Matthew Fitzpatrick [-3] 8 DOWN

:hang:

well would you NOT know it, the one time I do NOT throw a few bucks on Andrew Landry he is TIED with Adam Scott for the lead at Safeway with a [-7]. my closest player Adam Long at [-5]

well a steady drizzle rain and wind did NOT stop the scoring 2nd round. the field players had a field day. Matthew Jordan (OWGR #292) the leader with a [-8] at St Andrews for tourney [-14] the leader with Calum Hill (OWGR #126 [-7] at St Andrews, Joakim Lagergren (OWGR #265) [-10] at Kingsbarn and Matthew Southgate (OWGR #300) [-6] at Kingsbarn for tourney [-13]. then six more at [-12] including Justin Rose and my "to win" play Richie Ramsay. American PGA player Tony Finau [-6] and my "to win" play Andrea Pavan [-7] with the six at [-11]

I am absolutely SCREWED in my match plays. every one of my players is at least 4 shots back. complete washout. I do NOT know WHAT the HELL happened this week. yes Danny Willett won last week BUT players usually kind of "sluff off" after a win AND Wiesberger got tied 2nd Irish open AND WON the Scottish open both on links courses. Hatton was a CUT last week AND Van Rooyen a tied 4th, a WIN, tied 12th and tied 14th his last four vs the "Matthew Mouse" tied 46th, a CUT, solo 2nd (when Van Rooyen WON in Scandinavia) and tied 4th his last four
Bernd Wiesberger -105 [-1] for [-1] over Danny Willett [-6] for [-6] 5 DOWN
Matt Wallace -105 [-4] for [-6] over Tyrrell Hatton [-4] for [-10] 4 DOWN
Eric Van Rooyen even [-1] for [+4] over Matthew Fitzpatrick [-5] for [-8] 12 fucking DOWN

well Frenchman Victor Perez the Alfred Dunhill Links WINNER with a final round [-2] for [-22] one shot over English journeyman Matthew Southgate [-1] for [-21]. was Perez maiden WIN on the Euro Tour. his best prior finish tied 3rd at Hong Kong back in November 2018. Swedish player Joakim Lagergren [-3] and English journeyman Paul Waring [-2] tied 3rd at [-20] then five tied 5th including Tommy Fleetwood [-8] Tom Lewis [-8] and Jeunghun Wang [-4] at [-19]. Wang's best finish in over a year as he has been pretty much "Mr Missed Cut" after being "hot stuff" three years ago

Tommy Fleetwood and his partner Ogden Phipps WIN the team championship [-39] over Rory McIlroy and his father Gerry also [-39]. the tie breaker that Tommy finished higher than Rory

I got lucky that Matt Wallace shot a final round [-7] to TIE Tyrrell Hatton [-2] at [-17] so at least get a little money back

Open de Espana next week at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, Madrid, Spain. last years winner Jon Rahm [-20] with Irishman Paul Dunne solo 2nd [-18] and Spaniard Nacho Elvira solo 3rd [-17]

AND Cameron Champ the Safeway winner with a [-3] final round for [-17] Canadian Adam Hadwin solo 2nd [-5] for [-16] and Marc Leishman solo 3rd [-7] for [-14]. my boy Dylan Frittelli would have been in contention IF the fool had NOT shot a [+3] 75 the 3rd round THEN shoots [-6] final for tourney [-12} :(

next week the PGA in Las Vegas for the Shriners. Brooks Koepka supposed to play. he likes to hang in Vegas anyhow :)
