Dodgers -123 - Hard to ignore Hendrickson's #'s so far and Marlins bats are cold last two games scoring just 2 runs total. Marlins on a 3 game losing streak and they are throwing Obermuller, a pitcher not a member of the original starting rotation, that means the bullpen will be stretch most likely from the 6th inning on..Adv goes to the men in blue there.. Marlins hitting LHP at just .235 but LAD hitting RHP at just .231....This line is on the move from what I had written down and I don't want to pay more than -125 so I will decide on this play shortly.
Rockies O 9.5 - I want this number at 9 because I hate hooks but this play has value with two shit pitchers taking the mound. Even the Cardinal bats might wake up to face Buchholz..Brad Thompson takes the mound for the Cards and there is nothing good about this guy either.. From sportsline.Com
RP Brad Thompson, who has been scored on six of 11 outings, would seem to be in some jeopardy. Thompson had to be sent down last season when he struggled in relief. Manager Tony La Russa said he suspected Thompson was pressing. "He knows he's got to be productive to stay in this league," La Russa said. "You can't hide from that, I don't care who it is. He can't keep struggling and keep his job. He's going to have to get it right."
DBacks -115 - Price is about the limit I will consider for Micah, I am actually a little scared that Philly offense can go off at any moment and DBacks can't.
Mets -105 - Once again, a great price on a very reliable pitcher. Mets just havent been the same team as of late but Cain is starting to come back to earth as a pitcher as well. Walks will hurt Cain big time against the Mutts offense if it decides to show up. If Glavine does his usual, 6ip 2-3runs, I like the Mutts chances in the game and bullpen advantage goes to the Mutts..Giants are 1-5 as a team when Cain pitches vs. the Mutts who are 5-2 when Glavine takes the mound..Bonds will most likely be in the lineup since the game is at 10:00 but still always a possibility he sits and that hurts the Giants..Cain last three outtings:
4/22 - Arizona - W - 9ip, 3h, 1er, 4bb, 4k
4/28 - @ Arizona - ND - 6ip, 1h, 1er, 4bb, 2k
5/3 - Philly - L - 3ip, 8h, 7er, 4bb, 2k
Angels -116 - Ervin at home for a good price. Cliff Lee pitched like shit in his first start back. Ervin was defeated by the Indians on the road this yr in what can be summed up as a shit outting. He is a different pitcher at home and this line has moved a little as well but don't think it moves anywhere that exceeds his price. Really though his home #'s vs. his away #'s are hard to comprehend. Possible extra motivation 2nd time around vs. the team that lit him up.
A's -105 - Line from +104 to -105 so it will prob end up rising some more tomorrow. A's lack of bats is a concern but Royals don't exactly counter with a strong offense either. Gaudin has pitched pretty well and has flown under the radar for the most part. Bullpen adv goes to the A's here.
4/10 - CHW - ND - 5.2ip, 3h, 1er, 3bb, 6k
4/17 - ANA - W - 7.2ip, 4h, 1er, 2bb, 4k
4/22 - @Tex - ND - 6ip, 4h, 1er, 2bb, 7k
4/27 - DRays - L - 4ip, 4h, 3er, 4bb, 4k
5/2 - @Bos - ND - 5ip, 8h, 2er, 2bb, 2k
