You all had to deal with the SEMCON boys from 2006-2014 in the MLB forum. Frankly, you've missed us.
Understandably.
I've been waiting to fire this thread up. I wanted to see if we could actually survive an April for once.
Mission accomplished.
The Tigers stand at 18-13 overall with a +10 differential.
Amazingly, they have been great on the road (10-4) while a bit disappointing at home.
This next week brings a few big series that will help gauge where we are.
This weekend is a trip to the Bronx. Following that series, a huge division clash down in Cleveland.
The pitching has been damn good. The hitting? Yikes.
The bats are 22nd in average right now. They basically rank in the bottom 1/3 of most offensive categories.
Back to the pitching --
#4 in ERA at 3.12 as a staff
#4 in runs given up
#4 in hits given up.
Long balls have been somewhat of an issue.
They are 26th in fielding as well.
Remarkable job by the pitching staff overcoming the hitting and suss play in the field.
HOPEFULLY, we can somehow get the bats going and become a mid tier team in that regard.
With that being said, we're going to enjoy this summer of baseball in the D. This should be a fringe playoff contender. I'll be sweating out the RSW all summer and have fun doing it!
Join me in some Tigers talk @HUNT @misschung @jk16 @The Farm @Jeffeo and anyone else that loves Tiger baseball!
