i actually think teams did a very good job in this round. Very few busts and most teams picked a guy at a position they needed.

I mean in retrospect, any of these teams would love to have gotten russell wilson, and alfred morris woulda been in the mix.

still to early to call anyone in this draft a bust or a smash hit yet though. a lot can change, its only been 1 season

Even a guy like Doug Martin could have gone much higher after seeing what he did in 1 year. But you right, its only been 1 year, teams now have more films on these players, especially like Wilson, gonna have to see how the sophomore year changes, like Scam Newton...

we talk about taking roughly 3 years to label a draft pick a bust or not, so here is 2010 with each now with 3 years of service time.

this gives us a better evaluation. 7, 14,15, 18, 22, 24 are the winners showing it doesnt matter where you pick, its whom you pick.

As a Cowboy fan I strongly disagreed with them trading the 14th and 45th to move up to 6 to draft Claiborne. I still strongly dislike the move as I believed their biggest problem is interior line and quality depth. I wanted G DeCastro and they could have moved up higher in the 2nd round to grab Janoris Jenkins who is just as good as Claiborne.

Looking back to 2010 Dez Bryant was a great pick but they foolishly gave up the 90th pick to the Pats to move up from 27 to 24. I don't believe anyone else was gonna draft Dez before 27 and a top 100 pick has value if you can scout. Navarro Bowman and Jimmy Graham were taken within the next 5 draft picks after 90.

In short, Jerry Jones sucks.

How was Dez Bryant a great pick?

Just had 1400 yards and 12 TD's and most importantly kept his mouth shut and stayed out of trouble.

He does need to reduce drops, but overall is a solid player.

Iupati and Spiller deserve some mention. Spiller splits carries and doesn't play in a great offense so he doesn't find the end zone a ton. 6.0 ypc is even with AP for those of you keeping score at home.

if healthy and if he stays out of trouble, hes a top 3 or 4 wr in the NFL. and this is coming from a dallas hating Eagles fan

not many wrs have had the 3 year start to a career dez has had, both on and off the field. that said, if you did not live under a rock the 2nd half of this season, it is clear to see dez is on the threshold of being an absolute superstar if he can maintain that level of play, all while silencing critics playing through a finger injury most would have sat with. i think the light turned on him for him, not surprisingly for wrs, it was his year 3 when it did. and yes i owe the man for the fantasy titles he brought me.

re no----iupati was a good pick, even though the niners whiffed on their first try in that draft, still a solid pick for sure, even though he graded out as 3rd best (staley, boone) lineman on team this year and 2nd best guard on team (boone). that was the year i was hoping the lions would grab him.
