Love the NFL Draft. Follow college football all year long and just get real interested come draft day. To be honest it is one of my favorite 5 sporting events of the year. Just sit on the couch, eat appetizers and drink beer all day long with the guys. Nothing really better than that. Here is my mock, might make a change or two later in the week

1. Detroit - Matthew Stafford
2. St. Louis - Jason Smith
3. Kansas City - Eugene Monroe
4. Seattle - Aaron Curry
5. Cleveland - Brian Orakpo
6. Cincinnati - Andre Smith
7. Oakland - Michael Crabtree
8. Jacksonville - Mark Sanchez
9. Green Bay - BJ Raji
10. San Fran - Jeremy Maclin
11. Buffalo - Brandon Pettigrew
12. Denver - Tyson Jackson
13. Washington - Aaron Maybin
14. New Orleans - Malcolm Jenkins
15. Houston - Brian Cushing
16. San Diego - Rey Maualuga
17. New York - Percy Harvin
18. Denver - Everette Brown
19. Tampa Bay - Josh Freeman
20. Detroit - Michael Oher
21. Philly - Knowshon Moreno
22. Minnesota - Darrius Hayward-Bey
23. New England - Clay Matthews
24. Atlanta - Peria Jerry
25. Miami - Robert Ayers
26. Baltimore - Hakeem Nicks
27. Indianapolis - Ziggy Hood
28. Philadelphia - Kenny Britt
29. New York - Larry English
30. Tennessee - Vontae Davis
31. Arizona - Beanie Wells
32. Pittsburgh -Alex Mack

Thoughts, criticisms all welcome. Really got confused with Detroit's 2nd pick, New York Giants pick, Jenkins or Beanie with New Orleans, and Houston's pick.

I know I have Crabtree and Curry slipping a lot further than almost all mocks but just have a gut feeling with those.

I think you're going to have a great day on Saturday if you love this thing. Because everything I've heard for the last few days is how this whole thing is going to almost certainly shake up in a big way.

Apparently the Redskins want Sanchez bad. To the point where they want into the top five to get him. To do that, it seems to be that they will need to trade with Seattle at four.

If that happens, and your top three are right, both Curry and Crabtree are available to Cleveland. Who also wants out of their pick in a big way.

Word is that the Braylon deal to NY is already done, but won't be announced until draft day because of exactly this.

If both those guys were on the board at five the Browns suddenly have a lot of options. Two very good players, probably the best at their position in the draft--one of whom could have been the first pick overall.

So they can take either of them or they can trade down as well.

What I can tell you is don't expect Orakpo to go number five to the Browns. They were high on him a few weeks ago, but they've cooled and everybody seems to think that Mangini's not going to tempt ending up with another Vernon Gholston and that the Browns themselves are more about finding a way to have far more than the four draft picks they currently have in this draft.

Personally, I think that if they stay where they are they draft Crabtree and trade Edwards. And I'm starting to think they do that even if Curry's available--which may very well be a mistake. But if they ended up with either of those guys I'd probably be happy.

Also, Philly's number 21 now belongs to Buffalo because of the Jason Peters trade.

What's with the first pick not happening until 4:00 this year???

My Steelers won't have their first pick until Midnight!

I'll just ask in here. I think they started last year. Why is the draft pushed back to 4 est now?

Because they are absolute morons.

Believe it or not, I'm almost sure it's for TV.

Seriously.

For some reason they think people are really going to stay with it until 11 PM on a Saturday night.

Yeah they moved it to 4 and cut it to two rounds for tv

They also cut the time down between picks (only 10 mins whereas 2 years ago it was 15)

I like that its a better flow and doesnt take as long, but it sucks that it doesnt start till 4

Is there any chance Josh Freeman drops out of the first round. Line at 5 dimes is -600 on over 2.5 QBs taken.

Absolutely not. If he even comes close I think a team will move up near the end of the first and grab him.

I actually took a stab on Josh Freeman not being a first rounder. Got it at 5Dimes at +360. Just a shits and giggles $20 bet.
I just don't think he's a first round talent. And what is it about Big 12 QBs? Right now there are just two Big 12 QBs on NFL rosters, Vince Young and Chris Simms. It's been awhile since there was a successful Big 12 QB in the NFL. Face it, those Big 12 defenses suck. That might not be the entire reason, but for whatever reason they just don't work out in the NFL. If I were a GM, I'd would use caution about drafting a Big 12 Qb in the 1st round.

But I'm probably wrong. Everyone is saying he'll go to someone in the 1st round.
Also took Moreno -135 over Beanie and Nicks +125 over Harvin for some change and then Crabtree -350 over Maclin for a bit bigger bet.
Enjoy the draft:cheers:
