I really hope the Texans can trade up and grab mini polamalu. Orakpo is also a great choice, but we need some one like polamalu on D.

I doubt the lions go for a QB this year, Kitna can still go, they need way many other positions first, and should trade down.

Harvin in tennessee would be crazzzy if he stays healthy!! they would have soo many options and would have a way better offense only because of how many diff plays you can have for someone like him.

Raji to the Packers is a great choice. He will be huge for our new defense and should be able to start and contribute in it right away.

No way Everette Brown should be that high.
And Jason Smith over Andre Smith?? Come on. Andre should be the 1st offensive lineman taken.

No way Sanchez drops out of the Top 12. He would have stayed for sure unless he knew he wouldnt be in that upper 1st round. I love Mocks and will try to post one in the next few days.

Is this from ESPN, I feel like I saw the same Browns/Eagles picks from them. Maybe everybody just agrees on what these two teams need.

I do see Sanchez falling out of the top 10, but I think where he goes will be basically exclusively based on workouts.

If the Eagles come out of this first round with a solid O-lineman and some sort of talented skill player, I'll be happy. And I think the Browns could trade down, though if they took this LB I think I'd be fine with that.

I also sort of agree with the above assessment that the Seahawks have bigger holes, but I also think they'd be very smart to grab Crabtree.

If the Eagles come out of this first round with a solid O-lineman and some sort of talented skill player, I'll be happy.

What if they come out of this first round trading both picks for a 2nd rounder, 2 3rd rounders and 3 fifth rounders? then will you be happy??

:hang:

and to get back on topic...i dont see anyway they take wells...the more i think about it, the more i realize that RB in round 1 just isnt their MO

What if they come out of this first round trading both picks for a 2nd rounder, 2 3rd rounders and 3 fifth rounders? then will you be happy??

Probably not. Of course, I'm generally bad with the draft as far as evaluating who's going to succeed or not. So if they did that and came out of it with like three or four starters a year from now I'd look like a moron.

Sadly, however, neither you nor I even need to read an article about why the Birds need a personnel guy, because we've lived their draft picks for the last decade. We basically end up with one stud every other draft peppered into a bunch of guys that we try to give a shot but end up out of the league within three seasons.

I said it before and I'll say it again, Browns fans can rip Savage, but look at his draft track record. He brings in starters, consistently. Maybe it's easier when you're drafting at the top of the pile, but even after trading away their first rounder two years ago he made things work.

Meanwhile, in Philly, we're like 'uh, how about another defensive end?'

Ugh.

I disagree with this paragraph a bit.

It is time for Reid to move on from a bunch of players whose expiration dates as Eagles have come and gone. They're not all bad players, but they should not be at Lehigh next summer: Lito Sheppard, L.J. Smith, Reggie Brown, Correll Buckhalter, Lorenzo Booker, Greg Lewis, Sean Considine, Matt Schobel and very possibly Shawn Andrews.

Unless you're trading Lito, I keep him. I also keep Buck unless Tony Hunt is going to take his place, but I don't think he can beat him out in camp.

I also don't know if it's time to move on from Considine without a replacement. I also think you can lose both Reggie Brown and G-Lew but you need a WR in their place. I think you can replace two with one, but not with no one. But Smith is probably gone, and why Booker's still on that team I can't explain.

Lot of rumors coming out of GB Joe that Al Harris will be shopped. Him teamed with Asante could be a damn dangerous 1-2. 2nd or 3rd rounder I am guessing

You can keep al harris...last thing i need is that asshole coming back and getting burned for a 50 yard touchdown every other game

we have zero need for a corner

Lito quit on the team. Fuck him. Hes gone. LJs gone. No chance he gets re-signed. Only reason Brown might be back is because of his contract. But he was getting the 'healthy scratch' treatment late last season, so Ill be surprised if hes back. Buckhalter thinks he can start somewhere and will take whatever opportunity he can get on the FA market. Andy doesnt play him anyways. Booker is so gone. Lewis shoulda been gone 3 years ago. Considine is only on the team for special teams. He'll probably be back in that role. I dont even know about Schobel. I didnt know he was still on the team. If hes back its as a 3rd TE.

The only one I disagree with is Shaun Andrews. Hes not going anywhere. You dont let 25 year old All Pro offensive linemen leave. Especially when youre probably losing your 2 starting tackles.

shocked raiders arent going linebacker with this draft. need oline but given our recent drafting history of oline busts i can understand atleast not doing that.

Wow, Smoke, you're tough. Though I'm not sure when Lito quit on the team--that said, I missed easily the first 10 weeks of the season.

If Buck can get a starting gig somewhere, I wish him luck, I really do.

And I don't need Al Harris back either, though I do like him and wasn't crazy about letting him walk. That said, if he was better he would have won the job in Philly and would never have left.

I think the Raiders need a big time run stopper MLB, Morrison is good but would be better suited to be an OLB, him and Howard along with a stud MLB could become one of the best LB units in the league.

And I wouldn't say the Raiders recent draftpicks of OL have been busts, Gallery didn't work out at LT but ever since moving to LG he has been extremely consistent.

Stafford is a mistake for Detroit. Kid has tools but has shown me or anyone else nothing in college with regard to the intangiables. Andre Smith is the right pick. The kid is an absolute anchor, has the attitude and it's the safe pick. I can't believe it's possible that he could last until the tenth pick like this mock suggests.

Indifferent on Harvin. He'll either be a huge stud or huge dud. Don't see much in between with him. Titans could definitely use a burner on the outside to go along with Chris Johnson. Knowing the Titans, my guess is they get the best available defensive player in the first but Harvin is the kind of player they might gamble on.

I think Moreno ends up in San Diego. Maulauga is the best player in the draft IMO. Like Adrian Peterson several years ago, I fail to understand why this guy is not going to be one of the top two or three picks.

The scouting reports ive read said hes not a 3 down player...superb run stuffer, but can be exploited in coverage

if the lions take a QB #1 i quit. If somehow stafford or more likely sanchez pulls a brady quinn and falls to 20 then go for it.. but for the love of god not #1.

Only way that happens is if they trade Aso for something before the draft

Isn't Aso a free agent?

He is going to be franchised if he doesn't sign long term, only other option I could see would be a trade, which wouldn't be terrible.

KC got one 1st and two 3rds for Allen last year, I would think if they are trading for draft picks that Aso would be worth more than that.

If the Saints resign Vilma I would give the Raiders the 1st round pick for Aso and we would get the Raiders 2nd and a conditional pick.Well something like that.I can dream. That guy is worth a 1st rounder and is proven.

If Jared Allen got a 1st, two 3rds and swapping of 6th round picks, and he is thought of as top 10 at his position? maybe top 5?

Aso is going to get at least that when most people talk about him being the top DB in the league, at worst top 3. He was thrown at something like 29 times last year and 35 the year before. The guy completely shuts down half the field.

Brewer, you asked for a list of FA QBs:

Brian St. Pierre, Cardinals.

Kurt Warner, Cardinals.

J.P. Losman, Bills.

Kyle Boller, Ravens.

Todd Bouman, Ravens.

Rex Grossman, Bears.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Bengals.

Brooks Bollinger, Cowboys.

Patrick Ramsey, Broncos.

Dan Orlovsky, Lions.

Matt Cassel, Patriots. (Franchise tag.)

Joey Harrington, Saints.

David Carr, Giants.

Anthony Wright, Giants.

Marques Tuiasosopo, Raiders.

Charlie Batch, Steelers.

Byron Leftwich, Steelers.

Jamie Martin, 49ers.

J.T. O’Sullivan, 49ers.

Charlie Frye, Seahawks.

Jeff Garcia, Buccaneers.

Luke McCown, Buccaneers.

Kerry Collins, Titans.

Chris Simms, Titans.

Wouldnt surprise me if someone picked up Leftwich, I dont think he was ever terrible in Jacksonville and he came in on the monday night game against Washington this year and did great.

Besides that the only two guys I see who could start would be Warner and Garcia

I'd just like to point out that Byron Leftwitch and Charlie Batch both have SB rings and Donovan McNabb has none.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Bengals.

Brooks Bollinger, Cowboys.

Patrick Ramsey, Broncos.

Dan Orlovsky, Lions.

Matt Cassel, Patriots. (Franchise tag.)

Joey Harrington, Saints.

David Carr, Giants.

Anthony Wright, Giants.

Marques Tuiasosopo, Raiders.

Charlie Batch, Steelers.

Byron Leftwich, Steelers.

Jamie Martin, 49ers.

J.T. O’Sullivan, 49ers.

Charlie Frye, Seahawks.

Jeff Garcia, Buccaneers.

Raiders should get Charlie Batch they need a #2 qb and Batch can help Russell like he did with Big Benita
