16,36,39,9,31,13,28 those are the margins that Lakers have lost their elimination games in the last decade (they won two titles and didn't make the playoffs once in the decade).
So one would assume that Lakers will win SU or lose ATS.

I think that the home teams trailing 0 - 3, will win at least 2 out of 3 SU and 3 from 3 ATS.

  • An hour before game time, Brooklyn Nets coach P.J. Carlesimo said he expected guard Joe Johnson to play despite continued pain from plantar fasciitis. Johnson was a game-time decision before Game 3 and played almost 41 minutes.
  • Carlesimo characterized his team’s mood Saturday as “agitated.” “We know we are three hours away from possibly being 2-2 with a best-of-three series and two games at home,’’ Carlesimo said. “That’s what they are thinking about.”
  • After averaging 8.5 points during the regular season, Bulls second-year swingmanJimmy Butler has been held to nine points total in the last two games, although he has started at shooting guard and averaged 30 minutes in those two games. Bulls coachTom Thibodeau said Butler is in the game for his defense and intangibles. “He comes to the game with a defensive mindset,’’ Thibodeau said. “His offense is improving. But, he does a lot of things that don’t show up in the numbers. After a game, when we look at the film, we see things he does which are subtle but important.”
  • Carlesimo said the Nets need to get to the free throw line more often, but for Bulls fans, free throws are a severe concern. The Bulls have attempted nine more free throws than the Nets in the first three games, but the Nets have scored seven more points from the line because the Bulls are shooting poorly there. The Bulls are 42 for 66 (63.6 percent) while the Nets are 49 for 57 (86.0 percent). The Bulls were 14 for 21 from the line in Game 3 and missed three key free throws down the stretch as the Nets tried to come back from a double-digit deficit. Luol Deng is three for nine from the line in the series, and Joakim Noah is four for eight.
  • Carlesimo tightened his player rotation in Game 3. Veteran shooting guard Keith Bogans, who played 23 minutes in the first two games of the series, did not play in Game 3. But Carlesimo has played 10 players in all three games so far. The Bulls have played only nine players in every game, and veteran guard Rip Hamilton has appeared in only one game for seven minutes.
  • Here is just how desperate the Nets are to win: In the history of the NBA playoffs, teams with a 3-1 lead in quarterfinal series are 82-3 in winning the series overall.

I think that Bulls win this series 4 - 1.
They are matched up so well against the Nets, it's simply scary...

I think that if someone has CP3 points + assists prop bet, he can take it.
He should go off, though not sure it will be enough against the better Grizzlies team.

I seen it was between 28 to 29.5 P+A...

I can't believe how old school and stubborn PJ is. You have to take out Reggie or Wallace and put someone else in. Show some faith in Marshon god damn it.

The Nets coach may be dumb but they play lazy, lack intensity, and generally appear outclassed in all areas involving effort compared to this hungry bulls squad.

JR is suspneded from Game 4.
I honestly don't get him. They had very nice lead. Why do it?
It can ignite the crowd and Boston, it could have cost him suspension from multiple games (because you never know what would be the reaction and what NBA will decide).
Just don't get him...

Jr Smith, Splitter, Metta out for today's game.. Gametime decision for DWade... Elimination time, The Under for NYK/Bos game looks nice, if Wade is 100% not playing I'll pick under as well for that game...

Was a bad move on his part, no doubt about it. I really dont think it was a suspension worthy move though. He should have been ejected though, and as soon as he did it, he knew he fucked up and thats why he just ran right off the court

Agree Tito. He barely connected with Terry, Jet sold it well though. Ejection - Yes, Suspension - No...

he did sell it well, but wouldnt the league be reviewing it to decide on the ejection? they could've seen it was a bit of a flop....whatever, knicks are in control and maybe he will be more careful with that crap down the line

I guess the emperor wouldn't allow 3 sweeps on the first round later hehe... bucks and lakers don't stand a chance hehe boston would be their best bet, but I'm not betting my money on the C's, they just look lost without rondo running the show...

why would anyone throw Marshon Lynch in a game in a key spot? what the hell has he done to "show him some faith"?

In the 3 games, the Celtics have scored 78, 71, and 76. Their team total is at 89.5 . I'm real tempted to just take their under. What will change to jump start their offense?

I like the Knicks but gonna wait to get involved in game. I noticed pretty much all games you can get a better number by just waiting.

  • Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said that guard Dwyane Wade, who is nursing a sore right knee, would be a game-time decision. Wade, who made just 1-of-12 shots in Game 3 Thursday, did have his ankles taped and was on the court shooting about 50 minutes before tipoff. He did not speak to reporters before the game. “We’ll factor in everything, as we always do,” Spoelstra said. “No different from Game 1, 2 or 3. He’ll come over over here, get treatment and we’ll make a decision together.” With Wade hurting, Spoelstra was asked how important it would be for the Heat to wrap up the series today and give Wade and the rest of the team some rest time. “The most important thing in getting this over is because we have the opportunity to get this over,” Spoelstra said. “When you start thinking about all the other factors or possible scenarios in the future, you’re getting ahead of yourself and distracting yourself.” Spoelstra wouldn’t say for sure, but it appears that if Wade doesn’t start, veteran Mike Miller would start in his place. “We’ll see if we get to that point,” Spoelstra said. “There’s a lot of ways I can go, and our guys understand that.”
  • Veteran forward Chris Andersen has had a big impact on the series off the bench for the Heat, making 13 of 15 shots and averaging 10.3 points and 6.3 rebounds in just 14.3 minutes per game. “He’s given us everything he’s got,” Spoelstra said. “And what he does might not necessarily fit with other teams. We absolutely value everything he brings to the table — that energy, that defensive presence.” Andersen has built a reputation as a guy who does the little things that make his teammates better such as setting picks, moving off the ball and helping out on defense. “He’s made an impression in our locker room,” Spoelstra said. “What we hope is we’ve built a culture where everybody, including our best players, is committed to doing the little things. If you’re truly committed to winning a title, everybody has to do the little things. ‘Bird’ happens to do those as well as anybody in the league. What he has a great skill and knack for is impacting a game in short minutes in a big way. He hasn’t played 20 minutes in a game yet in this series, but he’s had as much of an impact on our wins as anybody.”
  • The Bucks set a goal this season to make the playoffs. To simply make the playoffs and then get swept out would not be the script they hoped to write. Third-year center Larry Sanders, one of the league’s more improved players, thinks getting a win would make the experience mean a lot more. “You want to play in the post-season, but you want to win in the post-season,” Sanders said. “You don’t just want to play. Getting there is the first goal, but from there you have to make a second goal, and that’s to win some games, to make something happen. We still have a chance. We’ll see.”
  • Witt his team facing the 3-0 deficit, Bucks coach Jim Boylan wasn’t ready to concede anything. “We’ve got to come out and compete,” Boylan said. “We owe it to ourselves, we owe it to our fans, we owe it to the organization to come out and give 110 percent. Nothing great has ever happened by quitting. I know it’s hard to come back from 0-3, but somebody is going to do it. And whoever that somebody is isn’t going to quit, so that’s the approach we need to take.”

[h=2]SPURS AT LAKERS, 7 P.M. ET[/h] April 28, 2013 · 6:17PM
TV: TNT

  • The Lakers will be without three former starters and two key reserves when they host the Spurs this afternoon in Game 4 of their Western Conference first-round series at Staples Center. L.A. starting small forward Metta World Peace is the latest to join the injured list, as a bothersome left knee has become too much of a hindrance for him to continue. He went without a point or rebound in 18 minutes of Game 3’s loss. The Lakers were already without leading scorer Kobe Bryant (Achilles’ tendon surgery), starting point guard Steve Nash (hamstring/back) and their top two guards off the bench, Steve Blake (hamstring) and Jodie Meeks (ankle). Darius Morris, who scored a career-high 24 points in Game 3, and Andrew Goudelock, who scored a career-high 20, will start in the backcourt and Earl Clark will take World Peace’s place at forward.

  • Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni tried to sound optimistic prior to the game, telling reporters, “We’ll fight, and let’s get people to talk about us. Let’s go. Let’s try to make a miracle. Why not?” No NBA team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in the playoffs.

  • The Spurs will be without center Tiago Splitter for today’s game and any remaining games in the series. He suffered a sprained ankle at the end of the third quarter in Game 3 and is expected to miss 7-10 days. Aron Baynes, a 6-10 rookie from New Zealand, will make his first NBA start in Splitter’s place.
