🔥 UFC 304: EDWARDS VS MUHAMMAD 2 🔥​

- MANCHESTER, ENGLAND

Today lines up to be a banging card with 2 title fights and a limey in every bout. The English actually look to lineup well vs the rest of the world. Will be interesting to see how Paddy fares vs a ranked opponent. Wood and Allen are both top of the food chain types. The Kape/Mokaev matchup should be excellent, with lots of bad blood there. Kape is better than most people realize when he puts in the work and comes in in great shape...which he looks to be, spoiler alert; that may be the biggest upset or at least the potential is there. Robocop's here, along with Meatball Molly and that doesn't even include the 2 main events...either could be top of the card IMO.

  • Bannon(5-1) is the vet here with a definite striking advantage. She may get a late stoppage on accumulation after picking Ardelean apart from distance, if not it should be a one-sided decision.
  • Even though Parkin (9-0) weighed in 30 lbs heavier, he will be the quicker/more active fighter. Brzeski is slow with only one thing in mind, push opp into cage and then to the ground and try to control the fight by staying on the ground. Don't think he will be able to easily corner "Mick".
  • Patterson(11-2-1) is another stud at 170 with a decent chance to contend for the title at some point. He's well-rounded with exceptional length at this weight: 6'3" with 78" reach. He has an excellent jab, but his real strength is on the ground. Likely early sub.

  • Elliott (10-2) / Parsans (11-4) should be fun, both guys very durable and both like to stand their ground and bang. Both are solid technical striker, with Oban maybe having an edge in endurance. If he finds a groove and keeps up the pressure, it may be hard for "The Welsh Gangster" to keep up.

  • Hadley (10-3) - Loughran (9-1) I'm not a big fan of "The Don" but with Hadley coming in on short notice vs such a 145 lb specimen, I just don't think it in the cards for Jake.

Performance Of The Night: Tom Aspinall​

You didn’t really think after the freakish way their initial fight went that Tom Aspinall would let the UFC come to his hometown—for the first time in exactly 100 pay-per-views—and not come away with the win? The interim heavyweight champion retained his belt with the speed and power that has become his trademark, and left his loyal fans joyously chanting his “Tommy Aspinall” song into the beautiful Manchester morning.

Performance Of The Night: Paddy Pimblett​

The crowd at Co-Op Arena would have been forgiven for dozing at 4:45am local time, but Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett made sure that wasn’t possible. After electrifying the crowd with the best walkout of the event, he followed it up with one of the best finishes of the event, becoming the first fighter to submit veteran King Green in the UFC. For his troubles, he received a double bonus: one for each of his infant twin daughters.

Performance Of The Night: Mick Parkin​

You would have thought it was a finish in the main event the way the crowd in Co-Op Arena roared after Mick Parkin’s first round KO of Lukasz Brzeski, but it was merely the second fight of the night, and it set the tone for the entire event. While it was his fourth UFC win in a row (tying Alexander Volkov for the longest streak at heavyweight), it was his first UFC finish, and nothing could be sweeter than getting it in front of his home country.

In true Dana form, Dana said bonus' would never again be elevated after so many decisions. He even gave Paddy 2 bonus' because he didn't see another. lol

After a slow start, I finished strong, cashing last 5 plays to manage another winning night in comeback fashion. Belal was workmanlike, if not overly impressive. He won more with strategy than skill IMHO. Aspinall legend continues. Mokaev is gone now according to Dana, they will not resign him after disruptive behavior and that was his final fight in contract.
