Why Did Colorado go 1st in the both the 1st and 2nd OT Period

I wasn't listening not that the stupid TV guys probably noticed. I've never seen that before. I thought they automatically switched who goes first in OT. Seems to big of an issue for all the refs and coaches on the field to not notice so I assume it was "correct".

There was some confusion at the initial coin flip before 1st OT. Was this a situation where CSU won and deferred?
