CFL In-Game 2022

Yes, my love of the game. I’m a CFL fan first tonight. No investments for me.

Gary Stern was very optimistic about tonight. Maybe I should’ve bought what he was selling.
Chad Ochocince made some very interesting comments about the CFL recently

He basically said that he thought it would be a cake walk but when he got here the talent was much closer to the NFL than he had expected
People laugh at me and think I’m joking when I say I’m a fan of the CFL and they should tune in. But it’s a great product. I also think the officiating is significantly better than the 4 down game. Every week in college and NFL ball I lose money because of some shitty pass interference or roughing the QB call.

Yeah it kills me that the CFL doesn't get its due. Its easily the second best football league in the world talent-wise and entertainment value is above the NFL IMO

The kicking situation across the league is better than last year but still not good. Only 3 or 4 teams have a quality reliable kicker

Serious question…could Winnipeg in this exact situation set up in punt formation and just kicked it out of the end zone for a single to end the game?

Yes. Same with a FG though and youd expect a short one like that would bit hit hard enough to go through the endzone even if it misses

With every kicker in this league dogs hit except Parades and maybe Bede, I’d be punting in that spot every fuckin time. These kickers are missing clutch pressure kicks from 20 yards…it’s insane

I'd put Sean Whyte and Sergio Castillo in that grounp too. But 4 good kickers in a 9 team league is not good.

Things go in cycles though. A few years ago it was a dearth of defensive backs but eventually that corrected.
