2021 Texas Rangers - Entire Season

solid pitching, just enough offense and we win 3-1 bringing our record to 15-17 and a series win as well
also we are now out of last place, the slumping Angels have claimed the basement
Yang went 3.1 innings throwing 66 pitches 44 of them for strikes gave up 4 hits 1 run which was earned walked 1 struck out 8 and gave up a solo HR
King threw 2.2 innings allowed 2 hits no runs walked none and struck out 3 gaining his third win
Kennedy struck out the side to gain his 9th save
our pitchers struck out 15 twinkees

Gallo went 0-3 got 1 rbi now batting .225
Ibanez 1-3 driving in 1
Woody put Kiner-Falefa in the lead off spot and went 0-3 he’s been terrible as our lead off hitter

we struck out only 4 times went 1-7 with RISP and left 6 on base
Lyles goes to the mound this afternoon and I expect a really good effort from him
we then head home to face the Mariners tomorrow night

Lyles goes to the mound this afternoon and I expect a really good effort from him

is this a good luck thing you write every game? I don't see how you can expect that from Lyles off two terrible starts without much going right before then in the earlier four either

He's certainly shown flashes in the past, maybe it's anti-MIN

He's certainly shown flashes in the past, maybe it's anti-MIN
not always with my catch phrase, Lyles is under pressure to perform better and today he did, let’s see if he can string together a bunch now

won our 3rd in a row and winners of 7 out of our last 10
took us 10 innings but we won 4-3 our record now stands at 16-17
Lyles threw 83 pitches 52 of them for strikes over 5.0 innings gave up 7 hits 3 runs all of them earned walked 2 struck out 7 and gave up a solo HR
Hearn threw 2 good innings and Sborz recorded his first save

Gallo went 1-4 hitting his 4th HR a solo shot batting .226
Calhoun went 2-4 driving in 1
Heim went 1-4 hitting his 2nd HR a solo shot
Kiner-Falefa went 2-3 drove in 1

we struck out 9 times went 2-4 with RISP and left 6 on base

Mariners arrive in town tomorrow and Foltynewicz takes to the mound, let’s see how he does
a series win would put us at .500 quite a turnaround

why is everybody picking up Willie Calhoun in fantasy? average looks good and he's got okay HR/RBI numbers but i must be missing something

that awful smell from Globe Life last night was the Rangers as per usual, they lost a game they should have won
5-4 was the final score our record now stands at 16-18
Foltynewicz gave up two 2 run blasts in his 6.2 innings of work throwing 100 pitches 60 of those for strikes gave up 6 hits 4 runs all earned walked one struck out 5

Solak went 3/4 driving in 1 batting .289
Calhoun went 2/4 drove in 1 batting .338
Lowe went 1/4 hitting his 7th a solo shot
Garcia went 1/4 driving in 1

only struck out 5 times went 2-9 with RISP and left 4 on base
Arihara takes the ball this evening and he’ll pitch a good one

That's 5 straight losses on Friday, 4 of which were in Arlington. Time to give up on our red Friday uniforms...they're cursed.

Reports are that Kohei is 100%, but I wouldn't mind if he's limited tonight.

if you like offense then you got your monies worth last night as we won 9-8 our record now stands at 17-18
Arihara wasn’t any good he lasted only 3.2 innings he gave up 6 hits 5 runs all of them earned walked 3 struck out 3 and gave up a 2 run blast he threw 74 pitches 45 of them for strikes
Allard pitched 3 good innings
King got the win he’s now 4-1
Kennedy recorded his 10th save, knowing our front office we will trade him and get “spare parts” back for him

Gallo woke up from his power slumber by hitting 2 HR’s a 2 run shot and a solo one he’s now got 6 for the season and batting .228
Kiner-Falefa went 2/4 driving in 3 now batting .279 he thrives at the bottom of the lineup and flounders badly at lead off
Garcia went 2/4 hitting his 8th HR a solo shot
Heim went 1/4 driving in 1 batting .140

only struck out 5 times again, that’s two nights in a row went 3-10 with RISP and left 6 on base

very big afternoon game today, we can accomplish two things get to .500 and win the series
Dunning heads to the mound, I’m 50/50 on our chances today
roof will be closed today, weather in the area

we head to San Francisco for a two game series then off Wednesday then go to Houston for a four game series

boosted by a 6 run fifth inning we cruise to .500 and win the series

Solak went 1/4 driving in 3
Cluberson went 2/4 driving in 1 as he hit his 3rd HR a solo shot

struck out 8 times, in this series we only struck out 18 times which is a big improvement but let’s see as we head to San Francisco & Houston this week

it’s nice to be at .500 but as we all know this team can go in the tank quickly
they have a nice core & Woody is letting them do their own thing which is good
but the front office and ownership will screw this up I can see it coming sometime in mid-June

a well pitched game from Gibson, yet our offense had jet lag and we lose 3-1 our record now stands at 18-19
Gibson threw 6.0 innings 103 pitches 63 of them for strikes gave up 6 hits 1 run which was earned walked 2 struck out 6 and gave up a solo HR
King took the loss in his 0.2 innings gave up 2 hits 2 runs 1 which was earned walked 1 struck out 2

Cluberson went 1-3 driving in our only run
for some unknown reason Woody put Kiner-Falefa in the lead off spot and true to form he went 0-4
I just wrote about this two games ago, all season he’s been awful in that spot
Lowe and Garcia each got one hit
Gallo went 0-4 now batting .221

struck out 8 times went 1-6 with RISP and left 6 on base
Lyles gets the ball today in a matinee game, we will win this game
tomorrow an off day then a four game set with the Assho’s

Cluberson made a bad throw to first in the bottom of the sixth that enabled the Giants to score 2 run and they held on to a 4-2 victory they completed a two game sweep and dropped our record to 18-20
Lyles wasn’t at his best but battled through 5.0 innings he allowed only 2 hits 2 runs both earned walked 5 and struck out 6 he threw 83 pitches 47 of them for strikes

Dahl went 2/3 hitting his 3rd HR a solo shot
Gallo went 0-4 and drove in 1 run he’s now batting .214

we struck out 12 times went 0-6 with RISP and left 6 on base

our offense stunk in this short series only scoring 3 runs in two games
hopefully today’s day off helps out as we head to Houston for a four game series starting tomorrow
Foltynewicz takes to the hill

very tough loss last night as we lose in 11 innings 4-3 our record now stands at 18-21 losers of three in a row
Foltynewicz gave us 5.0 innings allowing 8 hits 3 runs all of them earned walked 3 struck out 3 and gave up no HR’s
the reason we lost this was going 0-11 with RISP and left 8 on base

Gallo went 0-5 now batting .206
Dahl & Cluberson both went 0-4
Calhoun went 1-3 driving in 1
Trevino went 0-2 drove in 1

we struck out 12 times Solak 3 times, Gallo,Dahl and Cluberson twice each

tonight we are really up against it Astros throw Greinke and we throw Benjamin, we need a win desperately

our losing streak has reached 4 and we got crushed 10-4, down 10-2 after 5 the record now stands at 18-22
Benjamin went 1.2 innings allowing 3 hits 3 runs all of those earned walked 3 struck out 2 and took the loss (0-2) 7.36 ERA
deGeus was crap again 0.1 gave up 3 hits 4 runs all earned walked 2 struck out none
Yang went 4.0 innings yielding 3 hits 3 runs all earned walking 3 struck out none

Only bright spot was Garcia as he hit his 10th HR a solo shot he was 2-3 for the night .298
Trevino went 2-3 driving in 2
Davis went 0-3 with 1 RBI
Gallo had the night off
Kiner-Falefa went 3-4 batting 7th now up to .296

struck out 5 times but went 1-7 with RISP and left 4 on base
we’ve gone 2-30 with RISP during this losing streak

Dunning takes the hill tonight and we will win

whelp I was wrong now losers of 5 in a row as we rallied late but still came up short losing 6-5 record stands at 18-23
Dunning (L 2-3) got beat up by allowing 4 runs in the first inning and only lasted only 4.0 innings throwing 76 pitches 51 of them for strikes 7 hits 4 runs all earned walked 3 struck out 3 and gave up a 2 run HR

Gallo after having the previous night off went 3-4 hitting his 7th HR a 3 run shot now batting .222
Lowe and Ibanez each drove in a run
Solak went 2-3
Calhoun went 0-5

we struck out 7 times went 1-5 with RISP and left 7 on base

the week started out so positive and now look where we are, Gibson will try and stop the mess this afternoon and things don’t get easier as of tomorrow because the Yankees come to town for four games and then the Astros head to our town next weekend

Astros scored four in the bottom of the eighth and went on to win 6-2 we’ve lost our sixth in a row, the record is now 18-24
Gibson threw a good 7.0 innings throwing 94 pitches 60 of them for strikes he gave up 4 hits 2 runs both earned walked 2 and struck out 3
Rodriguez 0.2 innings gave up 4 hits 4 runs all earned and walked 1 took the loss

Dahl went 2-4 hitting his 4th of the season a 2 run shot
our 1-4 batters all went 1-4 they combined for 5 strike out
we struck out 12 times went 0-5 with RISP and left 6 on base

Yankees come to town for four, best case scenario is going 2-2 most likely 1-3 losing all 4 should be the end of Woody and that’s not a bad thing IMO
Lyles vs Cole tonight

Surprise,Surprise,Surprise the “little engine that could” (Rangers) beat up the Yankees 5-2 our record now stands at 19-24
Lyles threw 85 pitches through 6.0 innings 56 of them for strikes giving up 6 hits 1 run which was earned walked 1 and struck out 6
Kennedy recorded his 11th save

Trevino & Kiner-Falefa each drove in a run as well
Gallo went 0-2 with 2 walks and 1 strikeout
Lowe went 0-3 striking out all 3 AB’s
Solak went 0-4 now batting .264

we struck out 11 times went 2-9 with RISP and left 5 on base
tonight Foltynewicz goes to the hill, on paper this game looks like an easy over 9

we jumped out to a three run lead after three but imploded in the fourth giving up five runs went on to lose 7-4 our record now stands at 19-25
Foltynewicz lasted only 3.2 innings (L 1-4 5.28) giving up 7 hits 5 runs all earned walked 1 struck out 1
our pitchers (5 in total) didn’t allow any HR’s

Solak went 2-4 drove in 2 including his 8th HR a solo shot
Garcia went 1-4 driving in two he’s now got 30 on the season .295
Gallo went 0/3 now batting .215

we went 2-8 with RISP and left 5 on base we struck out 8 times

tonight Yankees throw Kluber and we have yet to name our starter, could be a very long night for us

my premonition unfortunately was correct “could be a very long night for us”
Corey “1Inning as a Ranger” Kluber threw a no hitter against us as we lose 2-0 and our record now stands at 19-26
Yang threw 74 pitches only 39 of them for strikes over his 5.1 innings he allowed 3 hits 2 runs both earned walked 4 struck out 2 and didn’t give up a HR
through the first three games of this series our pitching staff only gave up one solo HR

our offense took the night off
Solak 0-3 struck out all 3 AB’s
Gallo 0-3 now at .211

we struck out 9 times had no runners in scoring position and left 1 on base a walk to Cluberson only base runner Kluber allowed

this was the second time this year we’ve been no hit
since we hit the .500 mark at 18-18 we’ve gone 1-7 we are 2-8 over the last ten

doesn’t get any easier either this afternoon the Yankees throw German at us and then tomorrow the Assho’s come to town for a weekend series
off Monday as we fly to Anaheim to face the equally as bad Angels

Groundhogs day at Globe Life as we lose 2-0 but at least we managed 6 hits our record now stands at 19-27
Dunning was very effective over his 6.0 innings throwing 79 pitches 52 of them for strikes gave up 4 hits no runs walked 1 struck out 6
King was the goat 1.2 innings giving up 4 hits 2 runs both earned walked 1 struck out 2
and is now 4-3
Heim,Dahl,Gallo,Garcia,Solak and Calhoun all collected 1 hit

we went 0-5 with RISP and left 6 on base

Gibson gets the start tomorrow vs the Assho’s

If we get swept which is a decent chance then it’s time to make changes, the wheels on this bus have fallen off earlier than I or many others expected
Front Office and Ownership are fine with this team but the fans are already done

we were ahead 4-1 after five and held on to win 7-5 our record stands at 20-27
Gibson threw 6.0 strong innings giving up only 4 hits 1 run which was earned walked 2 struck out 4
Kennedy blew the save and Hearn got the win

Garcia was the star driving in 5 three of those on his 12th HR of the season
Lowe went 2-5 driving in 1
Holt went 1-4 hitting his first HR of the year a solo shot
Gallo went 0-2 batting .211 and walked 3 times
Solak 0-5 now at .257

sruck out 8 times went 3-10 with RISP and left 6 on base

a nice win for sure, tonight Lyles gets the ball in a very tough matchups vs McCullers

well just as it appears the ship is sinking we won the series and two games in a row from Astros, the final score was 8-4 our record now stands at 21-27
Lyles gave us 6.0 innings 87 pitches 56 of them for strikes allowing 7 hits 4 runs all of them earned walked 2 struck out 2 and gave up a solo HR

Garcia 2-5 including his 13th & 14th HR both solo shots
Gallo 0-4 now at .205
Davis 1-5 at .179
Kiner-Falefa went 3-4 drove in 2
Cluberson 0-3 at .247
Trevino went 1-3 driving in 2 .259

struck out 11 times went a putrid 2-13 leaving 10 on base

tomorrow afternoon Foltynewicz takes the ball to try and get us a sweep, Monday we fly to Anaheim to face the lowly Angels

took us ten innings but we swept the Assho’s winning 3-2 our record is now 22-27
Foltynewicz threw 7.0 innings throwing 107 pitches 69 of them for strikes gave up 3 hits no runs walked 2 struck out 2
Martin blew the save
Kennedy threw a scoreless inning
King got the W he’s now 5-3

Garcia our MVP got the walkoff single he went 1/5
Solak 1/5 drove in 1
Lowe went 1/4 driving in 1
Gallo 1/2 now .209

a nice series sweep for sure, but still five games under .500
a two game set in Anaheim starting on Tuesday, then off to Seattle for a 4 game series, we need to go 4-2 over these six games

didn't see the sweep coming, but good for the Astros and it probably was signaled by how cheap Gibson was in the opener but i didn't pay close enough attention

we got blown out early & never could get back in it as we lost 11-5 our record now 22-28
Yang was awful 3.1 innings gave up 5 hits 7 runs all of them earned walked 3 struck out 2 and gave up 2 HR’s
deGeus was awful again, he needs to be sent down 1.2 innings 5 hits 4 runs all earned and gave up a 3 run HR

Garcia still doing his thing he hit his 15th HR a two run blast as he went 1-4
Kiner-Falefa went 1-5 driving in 1

we struck out 8 times went 1-7 with RISP and left 6 on base

Gibson went on the IL with a right groin strain as did Hunter Wood
we recalled Demarcus Evans from AAA
Wes Benjamin was also recalled (LHP)

Allard will make the start on Thursday which was to be Gibsons game

this afternoon we send Dunning to the mound and I really like our chances here
we fly to Seattle after the game for a four game series

we gave up 5 in bottom of the first, then gave up 4 more in the fifth, down 9-1 heading to the top of the sixth we managed to score 2 in the sixth and 5 in the eighth but we ended up losing 9-8
swept in this two game series our record is now 22-29
Dunning stumbled through 4.0 innings gave up 7 hits 7 runs all of them earned walked 3 struck out 4 and gave up 2 HR’s
Benjamin threw 3.0 innings gave up 4 hits 2 runs both earned walked none struck out 4

Garcia went 1-5 as he hit his 16th a solo shot
Lowe went 2-4 as he hit his 8th a 2 run shot
Calhoun went 2-4 drove in 2
Holt went 1-3 drove in 1
Gallo went 1-5 as he hit his 8th HR a 2 run shot
but in top of ninth he had a awful AB he watched strike three go right by him
time to get rid of him before his avg falls under .200 he’s now at .209

we struck out 13 times went 3-9 with RISP and left 7 on base

so frustrating that our ownership listens to Jon Daniels we’re in this position once again because they feel he’s going to “get it right” one day
this season we knew was “lost” but it’s embarrassing we have awful starters, a below avg pen, no discipline at the plate year after year
time to clean house
off to Seattle, maybe just maybe we win 1 out of 4
Allard gets the ball tomorrow

Daniels still having a job is insane at this point, but what's the deal with Dunning closing a favorite @ Canning today and may do the same tomorrow @ SEA with maybe 4 innings from Allard and no Benjamin to piggyback?

I realize SEA is not good and can't hit, but TEX all of a sudden getting some respect from the market and it seems like the wrong time for that when they could've done it a week ago after HOU sweep

blanked by a bad team.... we lost 5-0 our record now stands at 22-30
Allard went 4.0 innings gave up 2 hits 2 runs both earned walked 1 struck out 4 and gave up 2 solo HR’s
Hearn over 2.1 innings gave up 3 runs all earned

Trevino went 2-3
Holt went 1-3
Calhoun,Kiner-Falefa and Gallo all 1-4

we struck out 8 times went 0-4 with RISP and left 6 on base
just a non effort from this team

Lyles gets the ball tonight

while our expectations were very low this year, Woody has list this team and he needs to go
as does his entire staff and of course Daniels
but true to form ownership will keep things status quo
a bleak outlook over these next three games

lol i love that you want heads to roll, market liked TEX last night too and i let them plus Flexen's pitch-to-contact ways keep me off

Road series are tough, but considering how those SEA bats disappear this could be a comeback and big for momentum. Don't like the idea if they get embarrassed here though

GWarner27
heads have needed to roll for the past three years and a few have rolled but they’re the wrong ones
Daniels is #1
Woody is #2

Gallo needs to go as well, but he’s not going to get us anything of value back

I’m tired of “well pitched game” or the “kids are on track”
ownership using new stadium without putting any “stars” on the field the fans are tired of being a laughingstock

fell behind 3-0 and came up short as we lose 3-2 dropping our record to 22-31
Lyles did throw 6 ok innings allowed 6 hits 3 runs all of them earned walked 1 struck out 8 he gave up a 2 run HR

Davis was 0-2 but got 1 RBI
Kiner-Falefa went 2-4 in the lead off spot and drove in 1

we struck out 7 times went 1-6 with RISP and left 7 on base

we’ve now lost 4 in a row, 3-7 in our last ten
don’t expect a W tonight either with Foltynewicz on the mound
going to be a very long summer

Groundhogs Day as we lost 3-2 once again, same score as Friday nights game our record now stands at our season’s worst ten games under .500 22-32
since we hit .500 at 18-18 we’ve gone 4-14
we’ve lost 5 in a row

Foltynewicz threw 7.0 innings gave up 6 hits 2 runs both earned walked 1 struck out 2 and gave up a solo HR

Solak went 0-2 and recorded both our RBI’s
our 1-3 batters went 0-10 Calhoun, Kiner-Falefa and Lowe
our all star Garcia went 3-4
our bum Gallo went 1-3 he’s at .215

we struck out 11 times went 0-5 with RISP and left 5 on base

we’ve been out scored 31-17 five games into out nine game road trip
Yang gets the ball this afternoon

we lost our sixth in a row, this time final score was 4-2 our record now stands at 22-33
thankfully we have today off
Yang threw 3.0 innings gave up 5 hits 3 runs 2 of those earned walked 1 struck out 2 he’s now 0-3

we scored 6 runs in four games, bad part is our starters were decent but our offense stunk

Gallo went 1-4 hitting his 9th HR a 2 run shot now batting .216 I actually hope he gets hot so some team takes him off our hands
for some unknown reason woody put Kiner-Falefa in lead off spot again and he went 0-4 he’s struggled all year in that spot
we only had 4 hits yesterday

struck out 8 times went 0-3 with RISP and left 3 on base

we have now lost 12 in a row on the road, it’s our longest road losing streak since we moved to Texas in 1972
13-13 at home 9-20 on the road

fans are tired of hearing “we are a young team” this team is lost, Woody can’t right the ship and it’s partially his fault but mostly Daniels fault
the writing has been on the wall with how this team would look this year and next 2/3 years
no hope in sight to be competitive anytime soon
the new park effect won’t keep fans coming when the product is as shitty as it is

we are in Colorado tomorrow for a three game series then Tampa heads to Globe Life for the weekend
