I've seen Buffalo earlier at 8.5, 7.5 (current Draft Kings) and here 7. Under 8.5 and 7.5 would seem easy money and Under 7 looks entirely possible. 7-5 is probably the ceiling given the loses to the coaching staff, player movement to Kansas and other players opting to leave early. 7 players receiving All MAC recognition are gone, for comparison I believe the rest of the league has a high of 4 All MAC players who choose to leave.

Guessing loses vs Nebraska, Coastal, 2 probable losses vs the likes of WM/Kent/Ohio, and 2 probable losses vs MiaO/NIU/Ball. If that plays out that leaves 6-6, but I wouldn't think it impossible if they lost at Akron or if they lost another game vs the WM/Kent/Ohio or MiaO/NIU/Ball group.

Utah over 8.5 for me
Like this one quite a bit, outside of USC they are by far the class of the South, that one should be a great game, Arizona and UCLA should be easy wins, ASU turmoil could take a toll at some point in the season. Get Buffs and Ducks at home...only really see them being dogged at USC and at BYU, I guess they could be against Oregon but don't think they should be

They're 7 point favorites at BYU on GoY release (and a small dog to USC)

I won't look at GOY til closer to time, try to do my work first with no influence

Pretty shocked they're -7 in Provo, probably would have to take the Cougars catching the TD but we all know things can change quickly

Honestly I think SDSU could be a good, grinding low scoring game

That should be a pretty low total, I do not know how the Aztecs are going to score. Both programs emphasize and have strong ST's. It will be a grinder for sure.

Dog in the Holy War has historically done well, though 2-2 the last 4 i think (going from memory)

Yeah...I love GoY...drove over for openers (@South Point) earlier this summer and placed about 15 bets. They also doubled their limits.

Out of that, I'll ask your impressions on Auburn this year.

Doesn’t look like he thinks much of em. I kinda agree. The SEC is always a huge soap opera but this has the potential to be crazy train type shit here. The oddest coaching hire I can recall.

The only bet I made in the off season was Oklahoma State over 7x. Injuries or covid outbreak could kill me, but otherwise it looks like easy money to me

Harsin is an odd coaching hire considering he is primarily a west coast guy. He has one year down there coaching an SBC team which is a different animal of course. Not a big Auburn fan this year unless he proves to be the elixir Nix needs. Also happened to fade ISU 3X as well for entirely different reasons...I am a fan of them but they are now the hunted (vice the hunter) and I feel they may be overvalued in the GoY markets.

I hate being the hunted but the general feel for the base is it's OU and UT....then everyone else. Give me another season of it plz.

Kind of crazy to imagine but the Auburn Boosters/ who really runs the program thing is wild. This was a coup de tat….like I said the wheels have the potential to really come off I think.

Agree; of course, you and I are going to have words if the boys dont come thru for me on Oct 2nd. :)

I do not like Auburn and like PSU a lot, think that's a beating

But my man, ISU fade is a hurtin' for certain, seems like they're getting treated like a mid major that had a magical run last year with these lines

We'll see; they're not built to blow out teams with their rather methodical pace and general lack of explosion; they are a very efficient team, of course. I like all my numbers since i made all three a tad lower. If i go 0-3 here (as you're suggesting), so be it.

I don't want you to go 0-3 lol but think we truck Texas, OU tough, OSU difficult to predict

Prolly should have known that....anyway...would you say this year represents their absolute ceiling, more or less?

I would not, I think it's the tip. ISU are getting more accomplished recruits and it's become clear that Campbell is perfectly happy there

Interesting season with the TEs all back, should be talent all over the field. Never have seen a team with 8 preseason all conference predictions

Just go to the meat up and blow off everyone Saturday night to go to the game if you're so inclined...
Yeah I have friends coming from Iowa for the weekend, get to see them every other year so we'll see. Still curious on masks and restrictions before I go balls deep.

That's huge and yeah, saw that Twitter quote over the weekend attributed to him. Sounds like he's in for the long haul.

I love ISU and what they're doing. Hope you are correct about it being the tip.

Yeah, more complicated with out of towners for sure; geez, i would hope the mask mandate is done by then but we're only talking 8 weeks. Seemed kind of knee-jerk...LA as well. We could be next, who knows.

That's huge and yeah, saw that Twitter quote over the weekend attributed to him. Sounds like he's in for the long haul.

I love ISU and what they're doing. Hope you are correct about it being the tip.
Never really know motive but as I understand he and wife don't want to move their kids around again and he loves the atmosphere that he's basically responsible for

Yeah, more complicated with out of towners for sure; geez, i would hope the mask mandate is done by then but we're only talking 8 weeks. Seemed kind of knee-jerk...LA as well. We could be next, who knows.
It's really tough to do a line off a craps table with a mask on

Harsin is an odd coaching hire considering he is primarily a west coast guy. He has one year down there coaching an SBC team which is a different animal of course. Not a big Auburn fan this year unless he proves to be the elixir Nix needs. Also happened to fade ISU 3X as well for entirely different reasons...I am a fan of them but they are now the hunted (vice the hunter) and I feel they may be overvalued in the GoY markets.
I was surprised he left a good gig at Boise. Was it simply the money or something else going on?

Very odd considering I think Boise is one of the most desirable places to live in the country right now

To be fair Kellen Moore turned down Boise because he's the next Cowboys head coach, nothing more telegraphed than that move

I think I would take all those dog lines against ISU as well, especially WVU. I might also say that I expect ISU to win all 3, but could easily see any of their games against similar foes being one score games.

Also generally down on Auburn. I'm leaving open the possibility they start well...3-1 is for sure or 4-0 beating PSU I wouldn't count on but also wouldn't be shocked by. I will look to fade in SEC play. They could start 3-1/4-0 and lose the next 4 or 5.

Money and career opportunity; obviously a tough job but still a prestigious position that says you've gotten near the top of your profession of coaching college football. Of course, if he lays an egg, which is entirely possible in cfb's nastiest division, then it is a different story. He isnt going to be thinking that way, though. He probably thinks he can compete with Saban in a couple years. He'd be wrong but you have to think that way (to some degree) if you take the Auburn job.

I can tell you what ain’t gonna cut it in the SEC West….this right here

Very good points. I just think that job is a such a meat grinder like you alluded to.

Hope it doesn’t end terribly for him like it did for Dan Hawkins when he left Boise for Colorado.
