Default Whats the greatest game you ever been to or watched

I would have to say the greatest game I ever watched was of course the Saints super bowl win. Being a die hard it was so exciting and relieving. We are finally off that black list. WHO DATTTTTTTT

The best game I ever been to was the NFC Championship with the Saints vs. Vikings. THat was a great game. The dome was rocking, 2 teams evenly matched and overtime with a 23 year old kicking the game winner.WOW. Also throw in the reopening of the dome against the Falcons. When I was sitting in my seat at the dome it was just a different atmosphere and it has its own category. So these 3 games are the ones I will cherish the most.

What yall got? I know some of you Philly boys, Raider boys, etc prolly have some good ones too.

Mine was an exhibition game. Sonics vs bulls in las vegas. The only time I got to see Jordan play.

A close second would be an lpga event in rochester back when i was a kid.

Meanwhile my sister went the broncos/packers superbowl and to the stanley cup when the flyers were in it ( she was a lindross fan ).

Dan how much does those ticket prices run and when you buy a ticket do you have access for the tourny just that day or do you have access for the whole tourny.

If you are talking US open ..........a ground pass gets you access to every court except the two main courts Arther Ashe and Louie Armstrong ........and its just for that day .........so basically you get access to like 18 courts ......obviously federer, williams sisters, nadal etc... will be on main two courts but a grounds pass is like $48 and gets you 18 courts of tennis basically from 11am ET till last ball on the outside courts

Been To: UConn/Syracuse at MSG 6OT game.....building was absolutely electric and almost missed the last 2 am train back to CT

Best Play I've ever seen live was by Jim Edmonds...anyone remember when he played for Anaheim and made that catch in Kansas City via full body dive not looking at the ball? Me and my buddy on a cross country drive picked that game to see Kaufman Park. Still to this day the greatest defensive play I've ever witnessed (live or TV) in any sport.

If you were expecting a ton of points from both teams then yes it was disappointing. Jump I thought it was one of the best super bowls we seen in a while. Most super bowls suck to be honest. The AFC/NFC championship games are some of the best. I enjoyed it but coming from a Saints fan my opinion is bias.

Naturally I am biased. But what didnt you like? Onside kick to start 2nd half? Peyton driving to tie and a kid from Port Allen, LA who didn't play organized football until junior year in high school pick 6's the unfadable Manning? I know I got some black n gold shades, but it was an exciting game to me even if you had no dog in fight? How many people said"you cant bet against Manning, etc"?

OK, I need to hear more about this. I'm assuming you mean the event at Locust Hill? I grew up in Henrietta and worked a couple of those events as a score sign carrier. Got to talk to the great Kathy Whitworth one year. Our high school used Locust Hill as their home course, so I remember the place well. Was it the year Lopez set the consecutive win record?

BTW, my all-time favorite event to attend was the final day of the Ryder Cup in Rochester in 1995. Team golf so dramatically different than the normal tournaments, even the majors.

I think it was like the Steelers/Cardinals game last year almost exactly

exciting end to the 1st half, and an exciting 4th quarter

but outside of that it wasn't great, not boring, as Nawlins said not as good as the championship game last weekend against the Vikings

last real entertaining superbowl games I can remember were Pats/Eagles and Pats/Panthers

the best so far live was watching Tottenham beat Arsenal in the carling cup semi-final 5-1, had not beaten them in something like 8 years so to see that live was awesome

hopefully it will be overtaken by watching Canadian mens hockey team win the gold medal in 20 days

Some of the best live sporting events Ive been to:

-Big 12 football title game, KState upsets and blasts unbeaten OU for the Big 12 crown at Arrowhead.

-Michigan State upsets UConn in the final 4 at Ford Field last year in front of packed Sparty crowd

-MNF at Arrowhead, early 90's during Buffalo's Super Bowl run the Chiefs blasted them by 30 w/ Okoye, Barry Word, and Harvey Williams all going over 100 yards rushing.

-When I was a little kid saw a 4th of July Royals/Red Sox game at the K that had a triple play, inside the park homer and bunch of other crazy shit.

yeah that msu game vs. uconn has to be up there for me too.
other honorable mentions go to

Michigan v. Penn state 2005 (manningham last second TD to ruin penn states undefeated season. ran onto field afterwards.)

Kenny Rogers in the ALDS and ALCS overcoming his horrible playoff curse and pitching lights fucking out in the Tigers improbable world series run

My dad taking me to see Jordan's bulls vs. the pistons after he came back from retirement the first time.

Pro Football: Lions Rams back in 99 I believe. Most fun I ever had at a sporting event for many reasons and finish was unreal.

Pro Hoops: I could list off a few dozen. It weould definitely be back in 89 or 90 season though somewhere in playoffs. Prolly Game 2 of '90 Finals even though it was a loss.

Pro Baseball: Game 2 of 2006 World Series. That was something else to experience.

Pro Hockey: Game 7 back in 1992 I believe of Wings-Leafs. WQe lost, but was my first hockey game ever and was just nuts.

Sadly, the best games I have been to are games I had a lot of money on and was on the winning side.. Am I a bad person?

Beyond that-- Pujols bomb off of Lidge in NLCS was it for me..

And agree, this year the Vike/Saints championship game was 10 times more appealing than the super bowl.. But if you are a Saint fan, its hard to beat the final game of an incredible season..

Wasn't that Josh Freeman as the QB for Kstate. If thats the game your talking about then I remember watching it. Real good CFB game.

We used to whip Henrietta in the soccer league I played in. I lived in pittsford.

I do believe that lopez won the event .. not sure what year it was either. At the time, I followed a golfer named Jan stephenson because I tought she was hot.

The only Tiger win.

Was about 35 degrees with persistant drizzle and 30-40 mph winds.

Kenny pitched a gem.

I spent a shitload for tickets but was well worth it. Never been so cold in my life.

I sat 3rd row once at JLA in the players wives/girlfriends section right behind the bench. Quite the experience.
