well a rather weird first round. early players shot low then a thunderstorm at noon Hamburg time softened the course. wind blew pretty strong all day

Paul Casey shoots up the back side with five birdies #11 thru #18 for the lead at [-6]

the Austrian Matthias Schwab with an eagle plus four birdie and one bogie [-5] for 2nd

three more early players tied 3rd at [-4] including my Scottie Bobby Macintyre

1st round match plays
Thomas Pieters +125 [-2] over Patrick Reed [+2]
Robert Macintyre even [
-4] over Cornac Sharvin [+1]
Adri Arnaus +110 [+7] over Matthias Schwab [
-5]
Bernd Wiesberger -110 [
-1] over Lucas Bjeeregard [+2]

HOW the HELL Adri Arnaus shoots [+7] after just missing the playoff last week at European Masters by one shot and has had three more 2nd place finishes this season just shows what FLAKES these "pampered poodle" golfers are

damp, windy conditions the 2nd day at Green Eagle did NOT stop my Scottie dog Robert Macintyre from shooting the course up with a [-7] for tourney [-11] and a four shot lead going into the weekend over the German Bernd Ritthammer [-5] for [-7]. first round leader Paul Casey [+1], the Austrian Matthias Schwab [even] and the Italian Guido Migliozzi [-4] tied third. then Bernd Wiedberger [-3] and Alex Bjork [-1] at [-4]. I just hope "Bobby Mac" can hang on for the weekend:pray:

my tourney match plays looking pretty good. two CUT wins and one loss (idiot Arnaus). the CUT came at [+3]

Thomas Pieters +125 [even] for [
-2] over Patrick Reed [even] for [+2]
Robert Macintyre even [
7] for [-11] over Cornac Sharvin [+5] for [+6] CUT WIN
Adri Arnaus +110 [+1] for [+8] CUT over Matthias Schwab [even] for [
-5] CUT LOSE
Bernd Wiesberger -110 [
-3] for [-4] over Lucas Bjeeregard [+3] for [+5] CUT WIN

:)

well hell. my worst nightmare. Robert Macintyre shoots a 3rd round [+2] for tourney [-9] tied with OWGR #924 German Bernd Ritthammer who shot [-2] going into Sunday. Paul Casey solo 3rd with a [-3] for [-8]. he probably WINS the damn tourney. my Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal [-4] tied 4th with the Austrian Matthias Schwab [ -2] for [-7]. my Italian Guido Migliozzi would be right there BUT he shoots a triple on the par 5 #11 and ends up [even] for [-5] tied 7th

AND damn "Salt" Pieters shots [+2] for [even] just one shot up on "Fat Pat" Reed [-1] for [+1] in my remaining undecided tourney match play :(

Robert Macintyre [-3] for tourney [-12] thru #10 BUT Paul Casey [-3], Bernd Ritthammer [-2] and Bernd Wiesberger [-7] hot on his ass at [-11] freeking "Wezzer" beat "Bobby Mac" by one shot in Denmark [-14] to [-13] earlier this season :(

FUCK!!! "Bobby Mac" bogie #12 now in a three way tie with Casey and "Weezer" [-11] and NOW Casey birdies #13 to take the lead [-12]

"Wezzer" birdies #18 to tie Casey [-12] AND "Bobby Mac" birdies #14 to make in a three way tie for the lead :)

well it's all over. Paul Casey with birdies on #16 & #17 for a two shot lead [-14] going to the par 5 #18

Both putts in the final group came up short to tie and force a playoff....didn't even give themselves a chance

WELL SHIT!!! I said it yesterday with Paul Casey just one back of "Bobby Mac" and the German Ritthammer he would probably WIN and he does with a final round [-6] for tourney [-14]. Ritthammer [-4], Matthais Schwab [-6], and "Bobby Mac" (AGAIN!!!) [-4] get tied 2nd [-13]. Bobby just can NOT finish. he was just one under the last nine after leading thru #10. that is his third 2nd this season :(

at least I went 3-1 in my tourney match plays to win $150 :)

Both putts in the final group came up short to tie and force a playoff....didn't even give themselves a chance

I have NEVER understood that. I was always taught that leaving a putt to tie or WIN short was a mortal sin :(
