No way this fight goes to the judges. Conor is gonna try to finish him in the first round. Either he does or is gonna gas terribly and get finished himself, probably by submission

I don’t buy the whole Conor is rededicated and focused bs. Let’s be clear. He doesn’t give two shits about fighting and the ufc. He’s about his money. That’s why he is fighting. He wants the big paydays. You hear him talking about a rematch with khabib, money, wanting to box again and win a world title, again money, still thinks Floyd will fight him again I just don’t see it

Cowboy being hard headed and looks like he wants to stand with Conor. Maybe cause he got a nice paycheck coming and knows this could probably be his last fight, and is getting paid.

After watching that press conference, I'm on Conor fairly large here. Cowboy seems way to casual and wanting to buddy up to Conor. Conor seems focused and very clear headed and at peace with himself. I know it's not the greatest capping strategy, but gut is telling me Conor by TKO in the 3rd or 4th.

Yep. I didn't like how he was thanking Conor for the payday. Fuck that. Tell him to fuck off and you're gonna knock his head off. Stand up, it'll be Conor. On the mat, it'll be Cowboy. And if you watched that press conference Cowboy is saying "we're gonna throw down". Gotta look at price but maybe Conor inside the distance.

You have to remember if Cowboy can get the win, there's a very good chance he would get to run it back where if he loses he'll never sniff a payday as big,

Best estimates I've heard are Cerone will make 2-2.5M while Conor will rake 7M plus and it could go much higher if PPV's blow up. Conor maybe the only fighter left that still commands a % of the PPV except maybe Khabib. No way Conor makes anything near the 80M he claimed but he could easily surpass 10M.

Yep. Seems like he's more concerned with "putting on a show" than winning. If that's his focus, he's f'd and Conor will eventually pick him apart.

Cowboy is either really smart or really dumb with this approach. He's a head case and looked more like he was managing his anxiety. Too much ass kissing for me but he's getting a 2 mill paycheck which might be his focus.

My top play
Ferreira -220 - fight showcases a rising fighter in Ferreira, who is looking to take out the wilting veteran Pettis. The former champ's skills are well known but his weaknesses equally have been exposed. Against any form of pressure fighter he cannot maintain a pace to stay competitive and is far less dangerous off the back-foot. Furthermore his durability is certainly in question as he appears to suffer some form of new injury every fight.

Ferreira is a relative unknown to the public but has rapidly improved into a solid fighter with skills in all areas. Most importantly here is the pace and forward pressure Ferreira brings which will have him mixing up close quarter striking, clinch work and takedowns. His grappling is world class which will limit Pettis’ options off his back where he has previously won fights with sneaky submissions. On the feet Ferreira lacks the flash seen at this level but as Pettis slows he will become an easy target.

This is a step up in competition and Pettis has mostly been fighting top 10 opponents. There is a clear trajectory to his performances though and it is tough to see him winning outside a low percentage stoppage in the first round, before cardio issues limit his speed and power. Expect some close exchanges early before Ferreira ultimately pulls away to secure a finish or dominant decision. Hate laying such chalk but cant see this one not cashing.

Been a very, very long while for me boys, but I have no respect for Cerrone tonight. Mental game has always been Cowboy's weakness and he will absolutely be in the most hostile environment he's ever faced. Cowboy is the last guy you want to back in a big fight considering his 3-3 record in main evens and the fact that he has never been in a fight CLOSE to the level he's on tonight. Shot fighter facing a guy with better speed and better power is recipe for disaster. Line seems right, but BOL on the action.

Whole world likes McGregor around 1.5, but I actually like him finishing later in this fight. All the pressure is on him and I feel we'll get a similar fight to Diaz II where he's looking to counter and not make that big mistake.
